There are winding trails that lead to a community fire pit, picnic tables, a creek, and an amphitheater. We’ve created a Pollinator Garden and an overlook.
The property was a part of Mrs. Rinehart's estate when she lived here in Glen Osborne in the early 20th century. She was the most famous female mystery writer of her era - the Agatha Christie of the first quarter + of the century.
The park consists of an upper trail (shown) with a pollinator garden for bees and butterflies (a work in progress), connecting with a zig-zag to several lower trails, a community fire pit, picnic tables, a creek, and a (teaching) amphitheater used by the Quaker Valley School District as an outdoor classroom. All on 3+ acres and built and maintained primarily by volunteers over the past eight years. Principally composed of W. PA and Appalachian native species; virtually everything is recycled, including any trees which we need to cut down, which are turned into trail path liners and wood chips.
