I'm following my life-long dream to do what I'm passionate about - ART! I'm continuing on where my mom left off after spending 40+ years as a custom pen and ink artist in Clarkston. I'm mother to 4 fantastic kids who have also inherited the "art gene"! My "real" job is college professor; I've taught for over 20 years as an allied health educator. Working in my home-based studio is where I feel most in my element! As a child, I always treasured the times I spent at my grandparent's homes, other close relatives homes, and cottages my family vacationed in. As a grown-up, returning to my parents home for special visits and holiday celebrations makes me value the gift of all of the memories created in each of those "architectural structures" so much more. My mom did custom pen and inks for hundreds of people and I saw the emotive reaction when many of the customers saw the end result. This was very inspiring to me. I feel motivated to use my talent to carry on my mother's trade of custom pen and ink artist! I would like to create a custom pen and ink of the "architectural structure" that your treasured memories were created in!
When I'm not working on a pen & ink rendering, I love to create beautiful greeting cards. Creating a card that evokes a pleasant emotion in the receiver, as well as evoking a feeling of a good investment by the giver is what I strive for.
