My thanks to officer Derek Burroughs for helping me restrap a load of lumber in my truck and making sure I made it the rest of the way home. All the folks dressed in blue have a tough job but they are always there to help. Thanks again.
Officers patrol my street frequently. I was outside one evening and a officer stopped just to say hello and introduce himself. THAT is a great feeling! Great job and thanks for keeping our community safe while also acting like our neighbor.
Thank you to Sgt. Spicer! You made my son's day TWICE!! He was so excited to meet you on patrol and to receive his own sticker badge from his police officer 'friend' ;- To my children, police officers and firefighters are real-life super heroes..The few minutes you spent with my son made a huge impact on him. You represent your department well and set an excellent example for our young generation. Thank you!
#BackTheBlue! I hate the fact there there is so much garbage out there in the world about hating on the men and women of our nation's police force. I am not one of those people. We hear all the time people complaining about supposedly bad police but the fact of the matter is that the greatest majority of those fine men and women put their lives on the line every single day for the citizens of this great country. I back the blue and I hope you do too! Proud of our policemen and policewomen and especially those who serve in Maryville Tennessee!
A cop car with tag # 5464 ga blue lighted my husband, who was in the left hand lane. Officer goes by and points at him and tells him to stay in his own lane! Officer proceeds to go on, than rides every one else's buts tell the get over! Only for him to finally get in the right lane himself, going no where! My husband gets back in the left hand lane, all the while going the speedlimit! Officer gets in front of him and than the turning lane, looks at my husband and points at him again telling him to move over?!?!?
This police dept is a blind as they are dumb. I had an employee steal over 2k worth of tools from a company work van, this police dept let said employee return some of the tools not all to the police station without any charges pressed. 5 weeks later i talk to corporal ayers, trying to get some resolve and same sad story. He had the nerve to tell me the employee disnt steal the tools. Yet the tools qere never to be removed from the van. Ever. But they were and the employee had them in a different loaction then they should of been. An inside job would be my guess? Maybe these cops knew said employee or friends etc. Either way, this was the grossest display of mistreatment and mishandling, by a police dept i had ever seen. Ao as long as someone returns what they stole, its not considered stealing anymore? This is a joke. And we wonder why no one trusts the police anymore? Lets be realistic.
My daughter and I were hit from behind yesterday and had to be transported to the hospital the Maryville police officers were wonderful to us thank you all so much. The EMT's were also great thank you too.
Officer DJ porter of the MPD illegally detained myself and a few friends of mine one night. There was no probable cause that would hint towards us doing anything wrong. Make sure to know your rights when dealing with the MPD
What a horrible experience. The only way to pay a citation is to personally go into the police station and pay cash or to mail a check. I got pulled over because my out of town tags and the cop did everything he could to find something to write a citation. Every person I spoke with was rude.
Mrs Dicandio it was probably because the left hand lane is the passing lane. Id say you were lucky it was an officer and not another pissed off driver.
