Salafi Masjid
In the Name of Allaah the Most Gracious the most Merciful
Masjid Anas Bin Malik is established upon calling to the pure preserved religion of Islaam as found within the Qur’aan and the Sunnah, and as understood by the first noble generations of Muslims, the Salaf as-Saleeh. This is what has been called to in our age by the well known scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah such as Sheikh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez Ibn Baaz, Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Saaleeh al-‘Utheimen, Sheikh Muhammad Naasiruddeen al-Albaanee, may Allaah have mercy upon them all, along with the others scholars from the people of the Sunnah remaining after them who defended the Sunnah and called to the worship of Allaah alone without partner or associate. Indeed the noble scholar and Imaam Ibn Baaz, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said,
“We are commanded to follow and forbidden to innovate. This is because of the perfection of the Islamic religion and sufficiency of what Allaah and His Messenger, may the praise and salutation of Allaah be upon him, have given us and which is accepted by Ahlus-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah, the Muslim community of the Companions, and those who followed them in the best way.” [1]
And he, may Allah have mercy upon him, stated that the creed of the people of the Sunnah, is:
“…Their creed is to hold fast to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, may the praise and salutation of Allaah be upon him; to follow his footsteps and those of his rightly guided successors; to believe and practice what was propounded by the virtuous predecessors and the Imaams, the leading scholars, of learning and guidance….”
Likewise the noble scholar Sheikh Muqbil ibn Haadee, may Allah have mercy upon him stated in his treatise “Our Call”,
“We hold that our ‘obligation is to co-operate with the group that traverses the methodology of the Book and the Sunnah, and what the Salaf of the Ummah were upon; in terms of calling to Allaah the Glorified, and being sincere in worship of Him, and warning from Shirk, innovations, and disobedience, and to advise all of the groups that oppose this.’ [2] ‘So co-operating upon righteousness and piety (taqwaa) and mutual advising necessitates warning against evil and not co-operating with the wicked.’[3] ”
This is what we hold to be the religion of Allaah, and call the people to with proofs and evidences relying upon the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah, the understanding of the Salaf, and the statements of the well known scholars of Islaam. And we end with the praise of Allaah.
