Assalamualaikum. Keep your cellphones at home or in your pockets. There are signs all around forbidding pictures and videos but we are too self absorbed and abusive towards Allah and his sanctuaries. List every mosque in North America where you can sit in ihtikhaaf for 40 days and take part in five daily prayers. Hint: you won’t. This mosque is one of a handful that can be called a mosque. Some of the guardians of this masjid gave up their pensions and others gave up solid jobs in order to be here and it’s made this place a bastion of self fulfillment. We are blessed with their presence here in this community and should take advantage of their presence and efforts while they’re still alive. This masjid makes Islam completely relevant in my life.
Zakaria masjid is excellent. Very big and beautiful. Woman can pray here. There is separate space for woman. They have a nice madrasa too beside this mosque. I love this place.

Due to Covid 19, multiple Juma Jamats are held at musjid Zakariya, Darul Imdad and Darul Ashraf buildings starting at 1:40 pm. Mask and musallah is required for each person to enter the buildings. Once each location is filled to 25% of the capacity, door are locked and people are directed to other two location around the corner. Parking is somewhat of an issue but manageable. Second jamat at musjid Zakariya is at 2:10pm.

This mosque is big comparing to most of the mosque in New York state. It has a moderate parking and enough comfortable space inside. Covid 19 safety is well maintained. Sound system is good. Moderately clean. Good place for Muslims.
