Mason Dixon Bakery is a dedicated gluten free bakery that is opened in the Spring of 2013 in Huntsville, AL.

In January 2015, we expanded to include a dedicated gluten-free restaurant, the first of its kind south of North Carolina.

We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offer catering for special events! We also participate in many of the local farmers markets.

Wonderful little place!! The staff were generous and lovely. The inside is absolutely stunning I almost wanted to do an impromptu photoshoot inside! The food though oh my goodness!! Is it a bit on the higher price side? A little. Is it worth it? YES! I ordered the Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon on top and my friend got the Chicken and Rice Bowl. We both ordered iced lattes which their new cookie butter one is delicious! Its not overwhelmingly sweet and has little bits of cookie in it! 1000% would come back!
It’s rare to find an eatery dedicated to safe, gluten free, eating. That’s why I’m intrigued by Mason Dixon Bakery’s offerings. I’ve enjoyed several treats from here including their chocolate chip cooked and their delicious cup cakes. This morning I tried the breakfast sandwich which you can get on various breads gluten free, dairy free, or paleo friendly or a gluten free biscuit. Thumbs up! The sandwich was delicious. My chocolate chip cookie was a bit dry but not unacceptable. Gluten free is hard to perfect. It was still good especially after getting home and warming it up a bit. I also had a cranberry scone which was served warm. Overall a great place to get a gluten free treat if you’re on their side of town.
We hired Mason Dixon as our wedding caterer in April 2022 and were extremely impressed. They handled everything: dinner, dessert you'd never know they were gluten free!, staff, serving ware, and table cloths. We had a very enjoyable tasting, and they were extremely easy to contact and work with leading up to the big day. Don't let the name fool you- this is the place to go if you're looking for a caterer in Huntsville without the typical southern BBQ style food although i'm sure they could handle that too. Highly recommend!
Enjoyed a lunch out with the ladies! Good food, clean facilities and friendly service. Some of our meals included the hamburger, turkey sandwich and the Caesar salad. The salad had a chipotle dressing that was spicier than expected. The burger was a large portion and well worth the money! Did I mention they have cupcakes?
This was my first time visiting this establishment. Customer service was great! I love they serve in togo containers.... I ordered the Vegan BLT it wasn't very good honestly, I had high hopes for it but the vegan bacon wasn't really vegan bacon it was dried mushroom strips w/ no flavor which made the sandwich taste off especially with whatever jam they used. I left the rest of the sandwich unfortunately. The mushroom gravy and vegan biscuit wasn't too bad just needed some salt and pepper. Tried to add the gravy on the sandwich but it didn't help.
Attended the soft opening at the new location and just wow!! The space is incredible and the menu has a lot of new items - it all looked so delicious it was hard to decide. Definitely recommend the avocado toast pictured or the burger with the Housemade chips - 100% We will be adding MD into our lunch spot rotation.
My son is gluten free in our family but we all love the cupcakes!! We buy biscuits 3-4 sleeves 4pack at a time, he pops em in the microwave for 1 minute for breakfast almost daily. I bought take & bake cinnamon rolls 5pqck today and HE LOVES THEM! They have my house smelling amazing too.
MD was amazing at handling all of our food allergies! Gluten, corn and eggs. More ah-mazing was the flavor and texture of the cupcakes! And they were beautiful, the picture doesn’t do them justice. Will definitely be ordering again!
Mason Dixon catered our rehearsal dinner and our wedding, and everyone was blown away. Not only is the food AMAZING, but also, the staff is so kind and helpful. I love that they provided everything we needed—including setting the tables. Our cake and cookies were perfect! 10/10!!!
Major yum alert!! As someone with gluten intolerances, finding a place with unlimited, yummy, gluten free options is a game changer. I ordered the turkey bahn mi and the bread was astounding! I also got some sweet treats and everything was delicious! I will be making Mason Dixon a regular place for food and snacks!
