MANAGER TIKA HURT Very nasty attitude I had to close out my account due to my bank account being compromised. And the way this manager dealt with me with no empathy. And then to top it off I had to physically come in to pay for another service before they would close my account and after being told the manager was on break for the next 15 mins I actually was made to sit and wait 50 mins until I finally called for non emergency police assistant,Then this is when Ms Hurt decided to come out to discuss my account. I couldn't believe this experience for a service of this kind. I recorded the entire rude encounter I experienced with Ms Hurt. Beware! Do NOT I repeat DO NOT do a membership with Massage env y or services at this location. It's a rip off if you need or decide to cancel the services.
Worst business!!! Poorly run. My massage therapist is great but is only there every other weekend and the schedule is only opened 4-6 weeks in advance. Despite numerous phone calls and visits to schedule an appointment I was told the schedule is not open and to call at a later date. i was put on a list and assured I would be called when it opened, confirmed again last week. Today I called and not only was the schedule opened, almost all slots were booked! Other times my appointment has been canceled without notice, changed from 90 minutes to 60 minutes without notice. I have left messages to speak to the manager and never been called back despite leaving repeated messages for months. This place is so very poorly run. I only go for the therapist.
Kim the assistant clinic manager helped me schedule two appts during a time where schedules were packed so it took us both some time to find days that worked best. She was probably one of THE kindest people I’ve spoken with in this type of scenario. I’ve grown so used to people having no emotion or sincerity in their voices and always feeling like an inconvenience to the person on the other end, that she easily stood out from the crowd. She made me feel valued and important and was quite simply a breath of fresh air in my day. This is the kind of employee that OTHER companies will try to win over cause she is that awesome. Massage Envy I sure hope you recognize what you have while you have it! Cheers
Do not sign up for a membership. Any credits that you transfer to another person will not be honored. We transferred 8 credits to our Mother and none of them were honored. We are out over $400. Even though on the transfer card there is no expiration date! Manger's response is that they were not employed when we transferred the credits so they cannot help us. Nothing, not one credit after over two years of membership, that is how they will treat you. Complete frauds.
I was looking for a new place. I made an appointment in person after the first massage I had there. I go for my appointment and I was not scheduled. I had the name of the therapist and yet o was made to feel like it was my fault there no future appointments I was just not in the books. The receptionist attitude was very condescending, they mess up and I am made to feel like it got the date wrong.
I received a gift certificate & redeemed for a 90 minute massage at the River Forest location. I was greeted by Tika & Kim who were both very welcoming. My therapist Diana was wonderful & focused on all the right areas after explaining we’re I felt the most tension. She applied the perfect pressure & overall it was a great experience . I hope to return again soon as they are running some promotions
I recently came for a facial. I just had surgery done on my legs so I had to muster my energy to get there so just I can get out of the house after a month of being cooped up. I had to ask my daughter to bring me to the place. When I got there, the receptionist told me that my appointment was cancelled the day before because the facialist was not going to be in. Really?!!! The sent me two text messages for the confirmation of the appointment but did not bother to text me about the cancellation?!!! NOT COOL!!! JUST NOT COOL!!! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Not deserving of a star! Unfortunately, I can't post without selecting one a star!
Front desk makes the whole process smooth and easy. I would like to thank the front desk for always being on top of their game- reminder calls for appointments, checking in and out is easy and just for being so friendly. Love the massage therapists everyone I had was so great. Even though it feels great after every massage- after my 5th one I walked out of there feeling like I could turn my head 360 degrees. My neck just felt awesome! With being open late and weekends it give sooooo much flexibility. I just love this place!
DON'T GO HERE! Unfortunately, I have had many horrible experiences at this Massage Envy! The first one involved a HIPAA violation. My final and last experience was with a massage therapist that took me back to the room at 11:05 and then proceeded to not come back to my room until 11:17. She didn't even say sorry I was doing xyz. At least hearing an excuse would have made me feel better about being left on the table for over ten minutes. For the same appointment, I was supposed to have a "hot stone" massage but the stones were cold. The therapist said nothing and it just felt like cold stones on my back. So, I asked her to please stop using the cold stones. She agreed and asked what pressure I desired. I said medium to hard. I have back problems and asked her not to use her knuckles around my spine and she said, "well, what type of pressure do you want then medium or hard? I can't keep going back and forth." I have never heard a massage therapist rudely say anything like this before. I wasn't even offered an additional free hour of service for my wasted time. I canceled my membership on the spot. Corporate should look into this franchise site.
My birthday was on Thursday and I wanted to get a massage with a gift certificate my husband bought me. I completely forgot to book and I was so glad to see there was an availability for the same day at 9am! I booked the appt and was greeted by a lovely receptionist can’t recall her name, but she was great! I had a 60 minute massage with Angel. I cannot describe how amazing the massage was. I definitely think that was the best massage I’ve ever had. I wanted to get a facial too but didn’t see any online. However, the receptionist mentioned she had a noon appt available and was able to book me immediately. I got a facial done by Carmen and she was also so fantastic. I had a 10/10 experience! :
