I just want to say “Thank You” to the staff at Mastapeter funeral home. I lost both my parents in December 2021 and Jason and Artie helped us greatly through this difficult time. We are truly great full for your professionalism and sincerity.

I have used this funeral parlor many times. Artie and Marygrace are wonderful. I only wish that I would have used them for the recent passing of my husband, however, since I live in Sewaren, I felt it feasible to use someone who is local. What a HUGE mistake for sure. I honestly really regret my choice now! Artie and Marygrace are wonderful and from now on I will only choose them for sure.
Where to begin.... Initial phone call was talking to a woman void of emotion Artie’s wife. This woman treated it like a transaction. Besides the fact that they did a terrible job on preparing for the service... they charged me TWICE for the service. We talked to Mastapeter and they said they only charged us once, we then had AMEX reverse one of the charges as fraud only to have one of the original charges reversed 10 days later. We then paid for a third time a week later. So all is settled.... 3 MONTHS LATER, the initial woman Arties wife called and harassed my husband yesterday saying we did not pay for the service and we got a “free funeral”, when we literally dealt with three weeks of trying to give them payment when they initially messed up. TERRIBLE SERVICE, bad attitudes, bad literal transaction, poor execution of service... the only saving grace is Jason. Jason is the only positive of Mastapeter.
My family and i were at peace. We were treated with respect and dignity. Our mother would have been proud. A special thanks to Anthony and his son Mark.
2003 only mass at St Anthony of Padua. Still Artie and MaryGrace made sure my son and I had a private viewing of my mom. She looked beautiful..
The of the most sincere,and down to earth people you will meet,and hopefully not in that setting.Artie is a sweet heart.they are all full of compassion.
