Great park for kids, there's a playground for toddlers and a separate playground for bigger kids. Pretty private, but welcoming area. There's a nice loop trail for hiking or dog walking. Playground: 2 playgrounds for toddlers and big kids as well as a swing set. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of grass for play, a trail thru the woods to get their dog senses going, as well as a winding road trail if you don't want to get your shoes dirty. Picnic area: There's a couple places to BBQ and 2-3 tables to eat at the main area. There's also tables throughout the trail for more privacy.
Two play structures one big, one little and picnic tables with grills dominate the north end of this hilltop wooded 5 acre park. From S. 146th Street you might not realize the park extends two city blocks to the south, dropping nearly 100’ in elevation down to S 148th Street, offering some nice views along the way. Two trails are clearly marked, both with a grade ranging from 2-10%. One is a soft surface trail with a few stairs for hikers, and the other trail is wide, nicely paved, and ADA compliant. The paved trail is dotted with benches, picnic tables with barbecue grills, and lovely views. The south entrance to the park is not that clearly marked, and the interpretive trailhead is also not obvious.
Overall this is a great Park to take your kids! The downsides are there is no parking and only one porta potty. There are two play structures one for older kids and one for smaller kids, four swings, two of which are for toddlers, and a seriously fun climbing wall. I didn't get the chance to check out the trails going off towards the back but it seemed very dog friendly.
Hey thanks for the photos posted but I really wanted to see the park not 50 photos of your dogs whoever posted them. I or 2 is cool but you went a little far with all the pictures of the dogs!
Nice playground for the kids. A large rabbit passed by.
Took my 6 & 9 y/o there because flight was delayed. Great little park and we’ll maintained!
Very great place to go with kids. Not too busy. Clean park, not so much with the portable potty. My kids love it.
What a nice park. There is no parking though, you have to park out on the street. It is a busy street very dangerous when putting kids in-and-out of car.
Nice park to take the kids for a couple hours. Also has some trails I haven't explored yet. My son loves this park. Also has BBQ stands for public use. No bathroom though.
Nice park. Cool trail down the hill. Skateboarders were riding it when we were there. Porta potty was not nice. Neighbor said tweakers hang out here but we didn’t see any of that.
