Dr. Matthew Brewster is an orthopedic surgeon with additional fellowship training in foot and ankle.
Dr. Brewster received his undergraduate degree in Physiology from Michigan State University. He received his medical degree from Michigan State University in 2009 and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. Following his residency, Dr. Brewster continued subspecialty training with his fellowship in orthopedic foot and ankle at Penn State University in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
While in residency, Dr. Brewster served as team physician for the Flint General Professional Hockey Club.
His practice focuses on both surgical and non-surgical management of general orthopedic and sports related injuries. He has a special interest in Adult foot and ankle reconstruction of complex deformities, Diabetic Charcot Reconstruction, Total Ankle Replacement surgery, Bunions and lesser toe deformities, Arthroscopy of the foot and ankle, and sports related foot and ankle injuries. Dr. Brewster is an Associate Clinical Professor for Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons- AAOS, American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society-AOFAS, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics- AOAO, and the American Osteopathic Association- AOA.
