Mattingly Tours and Travel

This company had been used in the past to provide a yearly trip that had been happening for 17 years. Two years ago I took over the yearly tour. That first year the bus has major issues with audio/visual and other small mechanics. I decided to use the company again this year because I thought they deserved a second chance under my tenure.. I expressed the concerns from the previous year. I was assured they would be addressed and noted. I service I got inclided a bus that kept shutting off and we had to keep waiting long period to get it to restart. It also kept filling with exhaust to the point that the saftey and frankly the lives of my elderly passengers were being jepordized. The company seemed to not care. No apology or contact was made from the company.

I would give no stars for this trip to Belterra in Ohio. The bus was in bad repair, broken seats that would not sit up straight, always in recline. The worse part of the trip was leaving Ohio with NO air condirioning on a 92 degree day with older retirees on the bus headed to Louisville. The bus driver was driving erractically and exceeding the speed limit of 70 by 10 mph. Very disappointed. I will never ride with this company again!! The other bus had to pull off the road 3 times because of overheating. My recommendation is DO NOT use this company.

11/14/2017 Mattingly Tours and Travel Charles Mattingly 114 N. 5th Street Bardstown, KY 40004 Charles, I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your company for the fine job they did. Our cruise group loved the nice bus and the ride down and back to Mobile, AL. Our driver was Jeff Madden. He was so professional, and just overall a great and safe driver. Jeff came on the cruise with us and really became part of our group. We had 39 folks go of all ages. Jeff knew most of us on first name basics, kids included. I can’t say enough nice things about him and your company. As you know we had an emergency on our way back from Mobile, AL. One of our group members became very ill and EMS had to be called. Jeff handle this as well as anyone could have. He have EMS 911, on the way so very fast and our passenger had to be transported to a local hospital. We then continued on our way and the rest of the trip was completed safe and sound. I also wanted you to know that at the end of the trip your driver, Jeff told me he did feel as he was part of our group. I was happy that all of our members made him feel that way. Jeff did go beyond and above as a driver. I few days after we had returned Jeff gave me a call and asked how our member who had the emergency was. One of the buses broke down on our way back home. Driver is driving erratically. Seats are broken. Do not recommend.

Bus #14 has pulled in to our place of business and has all handicapped parking blocked...how courteous and respectful...NOT!!! Thank you for visiting, please do not return to Dickson.
