Mauricio's Italian Restaurant opened in Cookeville, TN on May 15th 2002. Located at 232 North Peachtree Avenue, it is on the west side of historic downtown Cookeville, near Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Jeff and Tonya Cummings became the new owners in Nov 2014 and have continued to improve the service as well as the food.
The restaurant, formerly a residence, was built in 1910. It features hardwood floors, 15' ft ceilings, and 5 dining rooms, three with fireplaces... We have over 20 selections of wine to include a bar. We also have a patio, when weather permits, that seats 25. We host weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, parties, etc...
If you like good Italian food, old music from the 40's and 50's, and great atmosphere, come see us. Dress is casual and reservations are recommended throughout the week and on the weekends
When you dine with us, we want you to have a dining experience rather than the typical restaurant that turns tables as fast as they can. We serve each course separately, allowing you to relax, drink a glass of wine and enjoy a conversation with your guest. Typically, you spend an average of a hour for two people, an hour and half for 3 to 6 people. If for some reason you have other plans after you dine with us, just inform your server upon arrival and we can speed the service up. We are able to get you in and out in 30 minutes or so, but that is upon request. When you leave our restaurant, we want you to know what its like to slow down and enjoy each others company and realize how nice and relaxing it can be.
