Station 44
The Maury Rural Fire Association was incorporated on January 7, 1957 to promote the safety and welfare of the citizens of Maury and the surrounding area through the provision of fire protection. A fire department was organized and donations from the community soon allowed the Association to purchase a fire truck and erect a fire station.
Over the years the Association has expanded its services to the community and changed its name to the Maury Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association. Now the Association is beginning its 53rd year of service to the community with a fire department equipped with 4 fire trucks, 1 ambulance, and a modern fire station to provide fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services.
