Description

Maverik Center opened its doors to the Salt Lake Valley September 22, 1997. Designed by the world's premiere arena architect, Populous (formerly HOK Sport), Maverik Center is the home of the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies. Maverik Center gained international acclaim and exposure as the host venue for the Ice Hockey Championships at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Maverik Center combines the modern amenities of a large arena with the service and intimacy of a small theater. Within Maverik Center is a unique Theatre configuration which can accomodate audiences as small as 3,700, while a crowd of 12,000 can be just as comfortable in the main arena.

In addition to sporting events, Maverik Center is a leading entertainment venue hosting nationally known concert acts such as Elton John, Neil Diamond, Tori Amos, Mannheim Steamroller, Dave Matthews Band, The American Idols Tour, The Jonas Brothers, Gwen Stefani, Linkin Park and many more. The E Center has also been home to family shows such as Sesame Street Live, The Wiggles, Bob the Builder, Dragon Tales Live, Thomas and Friends Live! On Stage A Circus Comes To Town, The Steel Thunder Tour, Arenacross and nationally televised productions of Holiday Festival on Ice and World Wrestling Entertainment's Smackdown Live.

Monster jam was so fun! The Maverick Center was a perfect venue for the event and was very clean. Parking was free and easily walkable. I appreciate that it improves the neighborhoods it's adjacent to. We'll go back when the monster trucks return.

Great venue for concerts, pro wrestling, and hockey! Lots of parking either in the lot or across the street. Not a huge venue so there really no “bad” seat. It just gets verticals pretty quick.

Holy fees, batman! I'm pretty sure they added a fee to every single possible thing. It was a good time with family and for the monster truck event, parking was free. That was nice.

We came here for Hot Wheels Monster Jam and my kid loved it.  The Maverik centers food was not that great and overpriced for what you get need some help there. We got an overcooked pretzel and a sad hot dog.

Went to the Alicia Keys summer tour! Was able to find a parking spot, once inside, it's super user friendly as far as finding your seats etc. Leaving the parking lot was an issue but nice place. Concert was awesome BTW

Great venue for concerts. No bag allowed, so leave the purses at home.  Leaving after wasn't too crazy compared to other venues.

I went to catch the Alicia Keys concert, and it was lit! It was worth the wait of getting out of the parking lot. Even that was smooth enough. The atmosphere was contagious. Alicia moved the crowd with a sultry and electrifying performance. Everything at the center is easily accessible, from drinks to food despite the crowd. I had an amazing time.

Fun place to see a show!  Saw The Avett Brothers during the middle of the week. There was no charge for parking. There was alcohol available for purchase. No concession line was too long.  The venue is a decent view from just about anywhere. My pictures are from row 3 of section 122. We stayed through the encore and still got out of parking pretty quickly but we parked in the small lot and were lucky that the people turning right let us out.

I enjoyed the concert. Easy access to seating. Clean facility. Quick check-in/security. Only frustration was that the Concessions closed so early. All of them! The headline artist hit the stage at 9pm, and all the Concessions were closed by 9:25pm. I was so thirsty for just water, anything! I tried cuping my hands for water in the bathroom sink... we decided to leave and go home. Kinda sad and disappointed that I couldn't enjoy the entire concert because of lack of available water.

Amazing place for a concert.  Not a bad seat in the house.  Easy to get close to the stage. Acoustics are great too, which is rare in arenas.  Fun sports arena too.  Parking is free most of the time, but expect some time to get in and out.
