By big city standards I’d probably never go into this place, but winter nightlife in CC is slim pickin’s and they often have good live music and drinks are reasonably priced. It’s super smoky but the rest of the town other than this place and Pour House pretty much shut down by 8pm. The older crowd loves The Max and takes over the dance floor - just join them, they’re living their best lives! The local crowd is very friendly and you’ll soon be part of the gang.

Music is amazing! But they are still smoking casino. So if u don't mind the smoke, enjoy, but it's way too much for me and my friends! Too bad! Second-hand smoking is nasty!

Listened to a local band One Way Street last weekend here. They were excellent! Dancing happy people. Restaurant closed at 8 so food was scarce if none.

We ate at Black Bear Diner inside the casino. Food was very good, service was good considering our large group of 11...glad we got separate room on short notice.

Once upon a time and under a different name, this place was the pits. Many of their machines were in a state of disrepair, and getting help from an employee could be something of an adventure. Not anymore. Nowadays it seems like something special is happening every day, whether it's the best live entertainment in town, DJ Trivia, or a multitude of ways to be awarded free play, you'll encounter genuinely friendly and helpful employees as well great chow in the Black Bear Diner and the snack bar. The Max has pulled off one of the greatest turnarounds I've ever seen in Carson City.

Always a calm atmosphere for families, or the occasional gambling person. And it ALWAYS smells SOO darn good when you walk through their main entrance.

Rarely ever a cocktail waitress.. decent game selections but tight machines. If you put in your players card, the machines seem to lock up even more and you rarely win anything with your freeplay..

Won over $300 in 2 days. Small casino but friendly service. The karaoke hurt my ears! A little more practice, less drinking would go a long way.

Was very disappointed by a Casino not having table games on a Friday night. Slot play was ok but over all the atmosphere was not electric in any way
