Mayer Eye Care

Eye exam was average but months later I needed a box of contacts but am working 7 AM to 430 with their hours closing at 5 PM. I rushed after work to get contacts since I only currently have one in and my deoth perception is way off. I started calling at 4:45 PM to expedite the process and give them time to find my prescription and have contacts ready so I wouldn't make them work any later. Nobody answered the phone. They were closed, locked up, and already left by 4:50 PM. I called Dr. Stuevers office at 4:55 PM and they answered first call as well as had me come in the office to try and help me which they unfortunately could not do with out my prescription which would need verified by Mayer's and I was told they won't be open Friday either so an entire weekend driving unsafely now due to the employees priorities being put on getting home just a few minutes faster. Unprofessional. Inconsiderate. Completely unacceptable when you provide a service to your community and you can't even commit to actually physically being in your place if business during all posted business hours. I will be getting my prescription and never returning. I suggest you do the same.

Excellent service. I have used this place for all my eye care needs for over almost half of my life and I am now 30. Always super friendly. Fast service and they are more than willing to help you pick out a pair of glasses if you need a hand like I do. They also allow payments.

Joke of an OD, tried to get me to force sign a waiver that allows them to charge for services my insurance wouldn't cover refused and told them I'm only here for a standard exam covered by both health and vision insurance 100% covered. Come to find on my credit report and invoice that they charged me $90 for the exam extra ontop and because insurance wouldn't cover their extra charge for service they didn't provide they filed it against my credit when I refused to pay. Avoid this office at all costs, their buisness practices are predatory and borderline fraudulent.

Love Dr. Mayer and her staff. I have been coming there for years. Dr. Mayer is always professional and takes her time to check your eyes and explain everything and answer questions. I love the attention that the staff gives you when you are selecting frames or lenses and the prices are very reasonable.

Friendly staff. Amazing service. Nice selection. I got my glasses in less than a week. Fair prices even without insurance.
