Mayflower Seafood Restaurant

The mayflower combo was over cooked and cold. Which is ironic in itself. The fish was fine but everything else on the plate was over cooked. The oysters were crunchy and hard and the shrimp and scallops were so over cooked it was like eating calamari. The plates too expensive for 90 percent not to be edible. And I drove thirty minutes each way so I was not about to drive back. This is the first bad review I’ve ever left. I’m a general manager , so I’m very lenient and forgiving but it’s just ridiculous

Normally everything is fine. Not sure what happened today, though. I called in my order per usual. I should have just hung up as soon as the lady said they didn't have a grilled chicken sandwich because this is all I ever order. ‍She must be new, but why not ask before you assume? After she put me on hold, she corrected herself, without an apology, she proceeded to tell me that my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I already know that usually it takes 15-20, but OK. ‍ I clock out of work after 10 minutes, get to the restaurant and it's not ready. By this time 15 minutes had gone by. No problem. She says it'll be a few more minutes. An older man comes in, places and order and his was out in less than 8 minutes. Ok. Fine. I ended up sitting there waiting for a total of 20 minutes and it still wasn't ready. 35 minutes after placing my order over the phone, I walked out and didn't say a word. I would probably return and try again, but every time I go in there, I hear all kinds of profanity. Now, if I can hear it, then I'm certain the customers that dine in can hear it as well. This is very unprofessional and I'm done with this one.

Had a great lunch here. Food was good, I ordered the 'Sunday Special' of fried white fish and pop corn shrimp and it was cooked just right. The service was fast and the wait staff kept visiting our table to check on us regularly. It was a little crowded and there was a decent wait to be seated. And after we were we felt like sardines, but it only detracted a little. Prices were acceptable considering how large the portions were. Would definitely come again! Parking: Large lot easy to find a place for your car. It was even packed and we had little trouble finding a place for our car. Kid-friendliness: It's definitely a place you could feel comfortable bringing kids.

I have heard so much about the burgers yes I know, you don't get burgers from a seafood place well let me just say this....go get a burger at Mayflower! It was awesome!!! Sweet potatoes fries were cooked perfectly as well. My husband got the captain's platter. He enjoyed it.Food: 5/5

The service was great. My broiled shrimp was good, baked potato good. However, the broiled fish was over cooked, and tough. We stopped coming g because the inconsistent of food quality. I hate that because I need to eat less fried foods.Food: 3/5

Well lately they have not been doing well on the take out. One worker just up and walked out due to the kitchen losing the tickets. Food is good but the service could be better.Food: 5/5

We ate a variety of dishes from salads, grilled catfish, fried shrimp to chicken tenders. All of it was tasty. The prices were reasonable and the servings were generous. The waitress wasn't overly helpful or friendly...but wasn't rude. Just didn't check back often enough. Vegetarian options: Salads mostly not a lot but there are options Kid-friendliness: Not fancy more family style

I loved coming here until tonight! I ordered oysters & scallops well when I got scallops it looked like mush sitting on them from not being fried properly then when they remade them they were burnt so I called and asked for a manager and I got Wanda who is usually friendly in person when i sit to eat but was a headache to deal with tonight and hung up on me twice while I tried to advise my voice was gone. when I arrived I knew who she was and i approached her and advised my voice was gone and i wasnt yelling when my voice is totally gone and I'm just trying to be heard. This definitely caused an anxiety attack and no dinner for the night. Wanda do better in customer service and leave your emotions out of your job or get another job. I was instantly shutdown and not heard but I requested a refund due to poor customer service by management. Get cooks who can actually cook seafood.......Food was terrible & so was service. Gentleman in take out was friendly and tried to help.
