We are 100% Volunteer Fire and EMS.Our volunteers respond to more than 70 Fire related and over 120 EMS calls for each year. Our protection area is large and diverse, presenting many challenges. The mission of the Maysville Volunteer Fire Department is to meet the needs of our community in fire prevention, life safety, incident stabilization, and property conservation through updated equipment and the timely response of highly trained fire service personnel.
Maysville Volunteer Fire Department is located at the crossing of NC highway 58 and 17 about 15 miles north of Jacksonville, NC in Jones County. The MVFD fire district, established in 1951. The area is mostly rural but it is one of the fastest growing areas in North Carolina.
The department maintains one stations, Station 3 Maysville and are operated by an all volunteer staff 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. MVFD provides engines, tanker and brush trucks for fire protection. We provide Rescue to Maysville EMS and Jones County EMS.
We are assisted in our duties by Mutual Aid departments, from Jones, Onslow, and Carteret County. Station 3 Belgrade, 23 LOCO, and 20 White Oak, to the south from Onslow county. Station 32 Stella, and Station 12 from the East. and Station 6 Pollocksville to the north. We call on these stations for aid for Structure fires, major traffic incidents, and large scale incidents. We provide safe landing zones for EastCare, & Padro.
