McAfee Electric Inc. is not a reputable company. While installing my electrical box the worker shorted out my microwave and it had to be replaced. He also put up the wrong type of box which had to be removed and replaced with the correct one. He made a hole clear into the next room which was my newly repainted bathroom and knocked down the towel rack. I had to have this work repaired by my own workman at my own expense. On and off over the last two years, I have had "trouble" with my new microwave shutting off while heating something up. After Irma, I had a power surge, and the microwave went off while heating something up. The breaker was tripped, and would not go back in place. I called them, it was Saturday morning and left a voicemail. I had to call another company when they did not call back, since my entire kitchen went out, the lights and the fridge. That electrician told me the entire kitchen was placed on one breaker. When he checked the outlet in the kitchen for the microwave it was "burnt." McAfee called me back on Monday morning, asked what the problem was, and no one called back. I called the next day, Kelly said Rob was in a meeting, he did not call back. The third day, Kelly said they do not want to work on my house; my warranty is up, and another contractor did your kitchen. I said, "but you did my electrical panel." They said" find another company."

What a great guy. I called this company to aid in a solar project and he was extremely knowledgeable. The college couldn’t be more pleased.

Be careful with who you hire for your work. Many are unscrupulous and dishonest.
