Dr McCarthy is truly amazing! You have never been as relaxed in a dentist chair as he will provide. A close life long friend of mine is a periodontist in the area, he and a lot of the other dental specialists and general dentist use him for their dental work. Enough said no one better in West LA county, Ventura Co or Santa Barbara Co.
Dr McCarthy and his staff are professional, highly competent, conscientious, and a pleasure to do buisness with. They have helped me numerous times with 'teeth troubles'. Most recently they quickly referred me to another dental specialist to evaluate the seriousness of my tooth ache and determined that with some very minor dental adjustments, the ache would likely resolve without surgery. They're worth driving 150 miles for! Would like to post a new review, but google won't let me. So, will just add to previous words. The above mentioned tooth ache cause, progressed and again I visited the endodontist Dr. G. Roda. He performed a root canal, using 'a wave technique', that is thought to more throughly remove infections. It required about 3 visits to complete the treatment. Dr. McCarthy and his staff kept up with the treatments and were ready to complete the procedure as soon as possible. Both offices; Dr. McCarthy's and Dr. Roda's were very attentive and cooperative with scheduling appointments. It was challenging to all to coordinate the numerous appointments, but the support staff at both locations were excellent! The problem seems to be resolved.
Awesome as usual! I don’t know what we’ll do when Doctor McCarthy retires. Really don’t want to advertise how awesome his office is cuz it will only make it harder to get an appointment!
My family and I have been patients of Dr. Mccarthy for over 15 yrs. We are so happy with his care and that of his staff. Everyone is very professional, and they are always very friendly. Wonderful dentist. Highly recommend.
I highly recommend Michael McCarthy and his staff. We have never had a bad experience and are always treated with kindness and respect. Everyone in the office is amazing. My husband, my son and myself all feel they are amazing.
My wife and I have been using Michael McCarthy's dental service since he started. His s practice is close by, Mike and his staff is competent , knowledgeable, and the facility is clean and up to date. Mike cares for his patients wellbeing.
This was my first appointment with Dr. McCarthy and it was way more than I expected. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, informative, professional, caring and efficient in every way imaginable. My teeth cleaning was probably the best I've ever had anywhere. Everything was thoroughly explained to me every step of the way from taking x-rays to checking out at the end. Dr. McCarthy made me feel very comfortable, enough so that I have no reservations about turning over my dental care to him. Very friendly, very nice.
Dr. McCarthy has been our family's dentist for many years. He's professional, kind, and skilled, and his office staff are also great! Best of all, he is so good at giving the anesthesia injections you barely feel it. I highly recommend him.

I am a new patient at Dr. McCarthy's office, and I can honestly say I've never had better or faster care! I had needed a small procedure and was able to get an appointment same day, and was in and out within what felt like 30 minutes! The procedure was completley painless and Dr. McCarthy even called me later in the evening to make sure I was doing okay! I've never been treated so well at any facility, so I'm extremely happy with the overall experience and look forward to my next dental visit :
