McConnell Hall opened its doors in 1969 as the main housing complex on south campus (formerly known as South Activity Center). The building was named after Sam McConnell, Jr. in 1987. Sam McConnell, Jr. was a member of the legislature for 20 years.
Currently McConnell Hall houses 752+ coed freshmen students and is the largest residence hall on campus. We are conveniently located between the DuBois Center and the Sky Dome.
