Great hospitality from the line crew and a friendly place to be. We were stranded for 2 days due to marine layer in Seattle area. McCormick allowed us to use their courtesy car to get around. We waited in their lower and nice upstairs lobby for quite a long time. We always felt at ease. Thanks.
Boys did initial flight. Can't wait till they get their small pilots license from here.
Teresa and Dave run a great facility. Perfect FBO for YKM. Come here for flight lessons and any maintenance needs you may have. For anyone wondering if they want to be a pilot they offer a one hour intro to flight lesson. Lots of hangars and outdoor parking. Great office with couches and a balcony for viewing aircraft. Also, just come in to pet the dogs! They are very friendly and love attention.

A nice place to rent a plane...ask them to give you a quick go over with the radio Garmin. A gassed up and we'll kept plane.
If you're one of the few who is able to charter private planes I'm not!, then this place rocks! The staff who runs this place is very friendly and the building is well kept. Parking can be tight because it's a small lot shared with other places, but usually there's plenty to go around. If you're flying private I'm Yakima, this is the way to go!
Amazing place to hangout and learn from other pilots
Every time I tried to rent a plane there was a maintenance issue or they forgot to put me on the schedule and I would show up and my plane would have someone else in it. I finally was able to rent a plane and left my debit card on file for them to charge it to. This was in July of 2019. They gave me a receipt over email for the rental which was around $225 and I assumed it was going to be paid for with my debit card on file. In April of 2020 right when covid started impacting the world, they emailed me saying I owed them $225 and that they ‘forgot’ to charge me. How convenient that they need my money right when the epidemic is affecting everyone financially. Horrible FBO with bad business practices. They make signature flight service look like a 5 star fbo.
By far the best local flight training option available over any other Yakima flight training provider. You could pay both more and less locally but the quality of service, aircraft availability, and ground instruction here is unbeatable for primary flight training. The 3 1973 Cessna 172M's have modern avionics and clean interiors. Priced competitively. Plus here you'll get all the FBO frills.
I have a helicopter and have used various services from McCormick for over a decade. Excellent FBO. Service is usually timely except when they're already swamped. Pleasant lounge areas down and upstairs for layovers. They'll take care of you and your aviation needs.
