In all honesty if I could give zero it would be more appropriate. I ordered a set of Extreme Cold Weather Mitts. They processed and shipped my order fast. When I received the package it contained Two 2 Right hand mitts. After 5 total emails attempting to resolve this matter they sent me a canned email that made me question if they had actually read any of my attempts to contact them stating they were issuing me a refund. Now here is the rub, My desire in all of this was to purchase a second set of mitts and have them ship Two 2 Left mitts. Problem solved and they not only would have a very happy customer they would have actually made more money on this one sale. Now here I am at the beginning of February, our coldest, heaviest snow fall month with no gloves 5 weeks after I ordered from McGuires. Do yourself a favor and buy from someone else. They cannot spell Customer Service and they will never understand what it is.
The Improved Combat Shelter ICS from McGuire was the most disgusting piece of kit I have ever seen/smelled. Even on opening the box I could tell the ICS reeked of vomit. I took it outdoors to have a better look and the whole thing smelled disgusting.... and I'm no shrinking violet - on an Iraq tour I suffered through the summer stench of my buddy Al's boots in the tent every night. To make it worse, the bathtub floor of the ICS was all stuck together with light colored stains all over it. There was also a faint smell of CS, so my guess is a young grunt made it back to the shelter before losing their lunch on respirator test day. In addition, the rainfly had several holes in the black out layer and one larger rip all the way through. Clearly there was zero quality control on this product from McGuire before they sent it out. It smelled so bad that even 15 minutes after just that initial box opening before I took it outside my wife walked in and asked if one of the kids had thrown up. After tracking the return of the ICS to McGuire, I left it a couple of days after they received it to follow up and ask when a replacement would be sent. I was told that they had not received it yet and once they did, they would process the replacement. So I replied with a screen shot confirming they had received it two days prior only to hear nothing back from them at all. Another couple of days later I contacted them again to ask when my replacement would be sent out that was three days ago and I am yet to receive a response. They've had my money for several weeks and the unusable item for a week and are clearly making no effort to rectify the situation. They also removed the above review which they requested from their website, demonstrating that they clearly sanitize customer reviews. So they not only have lamentable admin and quality standards, but they also lack integrity, which as a veteran doesn't sit well with me at all. As a result, this will be my first and last time using McGuire for any of my gear. Update: Not too long after posting this review, the replacement actually arrived. No communication from McGuire about it though. While the replacement ICS does smell better not great, but at least not like vomit the overall condition of the tent is again really poor. The fly is literally crumbling apart with the blackout layer peeling off with any movement and the bath tub floor is much the same. Photos attached. This is an unserviceable product which is totally not worth the price. As mentioned above, there is obviously no quality control over what McGuire sends out. I will be returning this ICS too for a refund this time, NOT a replacement.
I ordered a set of watch caps and needed all 5 that I ordered. McGuire sent me 4. I contacted them about this issue and they stated their warehouse "ran out of stock" and that I should have been notified by email about this issue, which I wasn't. Ordering however was simple. I ordered, received an order confirmation email and then was directed to download the Shop app to track my shipped package, which I wasn't keen on. Be aware you will be prompted to do the same thing. They did refund part of my purchase for the one item that was OOS without a problem prior to shipment, however I was unaware of all of this until after I received the package in the mail. The unwanted app aside, McGuire can do better with communication. While not a dealbreaker, this doesn't do much to encourage me to order from them in the future.
Excellent prices, excellent customer service! I ordered a pair of 6 color chocolate chip camo pants online for less than $20 shipped! They offer free shipping, no minimum on all orders. And it arrived in two days halfway across the country. I had an issue and they responded quickly and corrected it no problem. Highly recommended!
They sent the wrong size extra narrow not extra wide. After many emails they went dark, refusing to supply a return authorization. Shortly after this the credit-card I used was fraudulently used in New Jersey, a state I've never visited.
I placed an order through Walmart app for a Camelbak on 7/29/22 as a birthday present. Once I realized that it wouldn’t arrive on time, I requested cancellation on 7/30/22, but they said they can’t cancel because it already shipped. Never received email saying item shipped, nor does order status say shipped or provide a tracking number or estimated delivery date. Don’t bother ordering through this company!
Very shady company ,I did receive my order it took almost six business days to arrive after paying for the standard 1to 2 early arrival days business shipping price which was advertised at $6.00 , but I was charged $51 dollars after I placed the order on my card . My purchase summed up to $44 in total I paid $96 dollars for a $44 dollars purchase I know times are difficult for all Americans. But robbing your clients is not going to help your business. I’ve sent several emails to this establishment with NO ! Response or interest from the owner this was my second purchase from this company.unfortunately our relationship will truly discontinue permanently. I would advise to get the standard free shipping or walk in the store they can’t be trusted with your card.
This place did everything they were supposed to do and I got my items on time and in the condition I was promised so thank you guys was amazing dealing with you
Ordered airman surplus trousers. Arrived in 3 days. Exactly as advertised an new as advertised. Very satisfied. Will order again from Mcguire.
Terrible experience. Got sent the wrong size and when I requested a return they sent me a return label that the post office wouldn't accept. I even offered to drive the item to their location myself since I live close by. They still told me I have to mail the item... despite the fact that I couldn't because they sent me a bad label. Worst online experience of all time for me.
