Went in with what felt like a never ending migraine. The staff was fast and courteous. A CT Scan brought to light that I had a severe sinus infection so I was prescribed antibiotics after receiving IV migraine help. I had been seen twice before this at an Urgent Care with no real answers so I am thankful for my RNs & Nurse Practitioner for the relief.
Went in for covid like symptoms. The front desk was great as it was my first time at UPMC McKeesport. But the nurses just seemed like they didn't want to be there. Better attitudes next time. Our customers need it in a time like this.
They took great care of my father age 81 when a regular cold caused labored breathing and weakness. He has dementia, so they had "sitters" with him the entire time, and each one was excellent. Nurses and assistants were also terrific. Very grateful.
Took my 93 year old father to the ER. Twelve hours later he was still in the ER. They removed a catheter that had only been placed two days before and then couldn't replace it. My father has to have a catheter at all times. No one communicates with you. I thought they forgot we were even there. This is not the first time it's taken so long to get a room, but it will be the last. We will go to Jefferson from now on.
Very racist doctor in the ER, she was a older white lady, I wish I would have recorded her. She was very rude to my son!!!! I hope karma gets her.
Horrible! Was told I had just a migraine and ended up having a very bad case of strep throat! Then I was mocked by the horrible receptionist when I went back to be seen again because I was still very sick five days later . I left and went elsewhere.
Brought my Mom in with chest pain, shortness of breath and radiating pain in her back and sat in the waiting room for over 5 hours and have yet to be seen.
Saved my life. Came in with staph infection. Hospital discovered other problems been here 2 weeks! Some equipment older but up to snuff.
I had very positive experience at the McKeesport hospital emergency room.
It's sucks, waiting, careless, very slow staff, old equipments, beds and stuff.
