Description

Thank you for your interest in McKenna Kennels. We are located on a securely fenced 32 acres and have been family owned and operated since 1933. The goal of our staff is to give your pet a safe and happy boarding experience, and to enable you to enjoy your time away, knowing that he/she is content and safe during your absence.

Our training facility consists of 110 acres, and 5 separate training ponds. All training is conducted using live and freshly shot mallard ducks, ring neck pheasants and pigeons. Live birds are planted for gun dogs learning to quarter. Birds are used exclusively on all marking set ups.

Not the best experience. Medicine was not given to our dog even though they asked and noted in the paperwork upon arrival. Was told over the phone to make an account to receive pictures, made the account to receive photos and they didn’t send any so we didn’t know how she was. Called a couple of times to ask and received vague responses each time. The pick up was really awkward almost like something had happened, very weird. They didn’t say if she eat, if she was good etc. Our dog was wet, her bed was wet, her blanket had mulch in it, her bag of treats was sealed closed. Arrived home without the little bag we send with her thingsincluding the medication, thought we left it but founded inside the bag of food. Overall a very weird experience. This was during Thanksgiving week, maybe they had more dogs that they could handle and affected their capacity to care for each dog individually but… it wasn’t a good experience. I wish we could know if she really had a good time or not. Please keep in mind that this was our experience and maybe not reflect the experience of others who has an amazing experience with them.
Called here when we were left with a last minute need for dog boarding and I’m so glad we did! Facility is well set up and my pup is so excited to go. I was also happy about the rates and how they price things it’s very reasonable. Thanks for taking such good care of our fur baby!
first time to bring our puppy to this place, so cant say much. How I wish they give us a tour or show us the place where my puppy will stay .
I'm so grateful to McKenna Kennels for taking care of my little guy while I needed to board him for vacation. The nightly rates were incredibly reasonable and I opted for the daily photos/report cards, which were so fun to get while I was away. Will definitely be boarding here in the future!
I initially messaged them asking if they had availability for my two dogs and they said they did and answered some questions that I had. I filled in the information on the link they sent me and then never heard from them again! I called and left a message, as well as reaching out via email. Nothing. Was a shame as thought it would be a good fit for my doggos but hey ho.
I have nothing but high praises for Mckenna kennels...the ladies really do a fabulous job.. Very knowledgeable about canine behavior.. I have total confidence in leaving my dogs there.. Thank you ladies
My dog stayed here for 13 days. When I picked him up they had lost his bed. It was huge so I don’t understand that. Said they weren’t responsible for the bed. Then told me a manager would call me. It’s been a week and they have not called me. I have called multiple times and they must have called ID bc I always get the answering machine. Will not use again and encourage everyone to not use them also.
Seems like a great place , have not had any issues our dog has a temperament so he don t get to interact with other dogs. I think he gets play time one on one
