Great little park. I appreciate it has a shade cover over the slides so they are not to hot. There are swings and slides and two different sets to climb on. There is also a basketball Court and bathrooms. It's on the water so you can take your kayak out and fish. My only negative would be there is no fence so if your kiddo gets away from you they could head to the water. My child knows to stay away from water, but she is 6. Sadly this park got hit hard from the hurricane and the big beautiful trees all fell. That just means less shade. But the gazebo has picnic tables and a grill so there is at least that. Hopefully new trees can be planted so there will be lots of shade again in the future.
This is such a cute park. I love all the big oak trees with moss and the water. There were ducks and birds hanging out. I especially enjoyed the swinging benches while my kiddo played on the playground. It was great. I highly recommend.
Good park. Nice basketball court, rims might not be 10ft though.
This place has alot to offer including fishing, kayaking, or small boating/canoe etc, tennis, shuffle board, basketball, racquet or squash ball, horse shoes, playground, pavilion & bathrooms. Plenty of parking and handicap accessible. No dogs allowed though, that's the only reason why I gave it 4 stars.
Well maintained with reasonable safety measures in place. Soft surfaces under/around play areas, abundant shade trees, pavilion picnic areas surrounding water, fishing.
This is a nice park with separate parking for kayak/ canoe launch. There is a covered pavilion and a charcoal grill. Most of the playground equipment has a shade cover. There is a smaller charcoal grill and a picnic table located under some beautiful live oaks. There is a nice sign that gives the nautical distance to the other parks on the water way and there amenities.
This park has a few slides for kids and basketball court along with a tennis courts. It also has a nice body of water next near it, sometime you can see a gator so always keep on eye on the kids.
Great park! Plenty of shaded spots to sit, tons of playground equipment, and really nice courts for basketball, racquetball, and tennis. Out of the multitude of parks that can be found in North Port this is definitely top 3 undoubtedly.
It's a nice park lots of space to play football withy boys and decent basketball court and a well maintained playground
Nice park with Pavillion, pickleball/tennis court, basketball court all on a lovely small lake. Located at end of McKibben with parking. Playground: Large playground with wood chip base. Restrooms: Restrooms right there. Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leash. Picnic area: Park benches throughout. If using Pavillion, only 6 picnic tables so bring extra tables and chairs if a larger group event.
