It is incredible to have such a beautiful and peaceful camp ground just minutes from a metro area. We love staying here and have had a wonderful experience each time. I appreciate how clean and well maintained the sites are. While our experience with the attendants has been minimal, they've been nothing but kind and helpful. I will say it can be loud with the train and boats passing by, but the views are totally worth it. My only complaint is the bathrooms are not as convenient with some loops without showers and the shower facilities to be very limited in number.
It really depends on which campsite you get. Many of the ones on the lake were really nice. Plenty of shade, campfire ring, plenty of space for parking a RV and a vehicle, plus a tent. However, many-at the same price-were very small and cramped. There were several shower buildings spread through the campground, making it convenient for all. They were kept clean and the bathrooms were always clean and well-stacked with toilet paper. Deer walked through the campground both days I was there.
Wow! That's all we can say. We stayed for 2 nights and were lucky enough to have a site with plenty of water views and a great location that gave the feeling of plenty of privacy. The campgrounds were very clean. And even though there's a large number of sites, they all seem spaced out enough to make ot feel much smaller. This is a campground you should definitely check out. We know we'll be back!
Beautiful camping ground! The deer were plentiful, and we had a pretty view and privacy at site 102. BUT THE CHECK IN. The old man at the gate has a serious chip on his shoulder, and seems to enjoy frustrating visitors and offering as little help as possible. We would have just left as poorly as we were treated, but we had a reservation with family for the weekend. Wish I could leave a higher review, but he really ruined the first day.
We stay here at least once a year when in town visiting family. The park is super peaceful we've camped in May & November and very well kept. It's a bit odd that we have to abide by a "curfew" since the gates lock at night but we've been able to make it work.Location: 5/5
Nice large camp campground. Beautiful location plenty of sites. bath houses throughout the area of different sizes. Only had three issues with 1 not 24-hour access gates locked at 10 p.m. and you have to park outside and walk to your campsite which could be a mile or so away I think in the area are here and things to do in the evening kind of ridiculous some of the other campgrounds sites have a key code access. Second I found water pressure at the campsite low. third the dump stations there are dual stations nicely placed by the exit and trash dump only problems are kind of close together for the new larger trailers and there's no flush out and it seemed that was done by design and saw other people had comment about it.
Very nice Army Corps of Engineers campground on Lake Allatoona, GA, with campsites on the lake and in the woods. The RV sites are large and arranged to provide privacy. The rv campsites have electric and water hook-ups. There are 2 dump stations. We always see tent campers there, too. The bath houses are clean and have showers. We've camped there several times and the staff have all been great!
Love this Campground. Ranger ladies are Awesome!!! The man that was at the Gate was rude, said I couldn't use my Golf Cart. I told him it was street Friendly. Tagged, title, insurance, then he claimed he didn't say that. I was with a group of friends and family. He had a A## H### aditude. I'm handicap and that was my transportation.Rooms: 5/5
Second time camping here. Sites are fairly spacious. We had easy access to the beach as well as right in a cove, so our sites location was perfect for little ones. Can't wait to return!
Site 45 had a beautiful view of the lake. Unfortunately we chose a rainy week to be there and the weather drove the ants into our camper from tree branches that rested on the back of our fifth wheel. We had our granddaughter with us, so we still enjoyed our time there.Location: 5/5
