McKinney Memorial Public Library

The homeless crowd makes it slightly uncomfortable. But, everyone has a right to the library, even if as shelter from the triple digit heat. If you feel uncomfortable, John and Judy is much nicer.

I used to take my kids here weekly. After being followed to car by a man saying he watched me and my kids the previous week. He would not stop talking and getting closer to my children. Will not return. Not safe to bring children.

Hi. I like this library. The study room sign in pad, not so much. It pops up a keyboard when you try to choose agree to policy and the keyboard blocked me from the drop down button. I waited for over an hour for a recover my password email that never came so I could reserve it on my phone. I’m happy to follow procedure if the tech here would allow it please! Otherwise, it just sets the stage for frustration and your customer service staff has to deal with an embarrassing misunderstanding. Love the library; would love to see the tech more supportive of the humans.

Love this library. My kids prefer their visits here - kind staff, clean facility, and a great selection of books. They will also request anything you are looking for but can't find.

Got a membership not too long ago and the lady at the front was very helpful and kind. My son loved their Manga selection. The checking out is super convenient and fast! We love it here.

Great Library! Everyone is so nice to answer any & all questions! They have a quick self checkout station for all medias. Also, there's tons of activities for kids!

It gets so loud in the library in the evenings with teens playing on computers together. I wish the librarians would ask guests to use quiet voices. It's a library and people need to be reminded of library etiquette.

Nice library. Always has books I want. Big and nicely organized. The parking lot is nice and big I can always find a spot. It is located downtown and it's convenient there's other things to do around it so you can make a trip in one day shopping downtown and stopping by the library. I really enjoy that there different wings of the library with the kids section being separate from the adult section for nice and quiet reading time. Staff is helpful at the front desk. They also have cell phone and tablet chargers available as well as local info with different parks and events going on brochures in the front.

Became the Homeless central. Some are going through withdrawal and acting crazy. Felt unsafe with my kids.

Awesome library with a great atmosphere. On a different note, I also drive a Tesla and there happened to be a regular car parked in the EV charging parking spot. “Gary” kindly assisted in making an announcement over the speaker for them to move their car, which they did. Aside from his great customer service, he had bright personality & sharply dressed. Professionalism at its finest. Thank you Gary!
