MedExpress Urgent Care

I was treated very nicely and no wait on a wed 5:35pm. The receptionist was very nice. Then I saw the doctor and this is what happened... This poor excuse of a doctor misdiagnosed me, didn't even tell me what the diagnosis was gave me medication for scabies when I had gnat bites from the woods. I do not have scabies, and she also prescribed prednisone, which my pharmacist recommended for the insect bites, but she gave me half of the recommended dosage based on my body weight. You're lucky I do not sue for malpractice. I'm have been to to my primary care doctor this morning and was able to get a proper diagnosis for the gnat bites and I am currently on 40 mg of prednisone for five days and 20 for another week. You only gave me 4, 20 mg pills of prednisone just to appease me what an awful unprofessional disgusting thing to do to a patient. So unprofessional, she gave me medication for scabies and did not even tell me that's why she gave me that medication. Unbelievable! Stay clear of this place!!

Now known as Optum Urgent care. Definitely not coming back. I went for severe congestion and cough which for me means sinus infection. I explain to the doctor my symptoms which is congestion, cough, headache and he did a Covid test which was negative. So he prescribed me cough medicine. Mind you I’m out of it and restless so I went home took the pills and no justice. Can’t sleep because post nasal drip is going into my chest making me cough all night and each day getting worse. I go back 3 days later and explained that I feel worse since my visit and now have gained more symptoms. Went from sinus infection, to respiratory infection as well. Had to pay another $40 co-pay. I asked why if I was here 3 days ago for the same thing and have gotten worse and the lady was just rude and I’m restless. I get into the room and they close the door and I hear them discussing me saying I was just there and they are saying she was here with doctor I forget his name and they are discussing how he was/is in training which explains it all. The doctor came in the room and I explain everything and he checks my ears, nose and glands and I tell him it’s funny the other doctor didn’t do any of the above. He said all doctors work differently. No sir your just covering for the resident that diagnosed me. He was in a hurry to get me out I didn’t even sit on the exam table he told me I could stay in the chair. Told me he was sending in prescriptions and gave a good day. No discharge papers. Just the worst bedside manner ever. My rant is over hopefully this medicine helps this time around!

Hello everyone! Please please please guys keep yourself away from this place. I don’t know how they are working here without any basic knowledge. They are keeping doing the same mistake over and over. I suppose to do my drug test I did but they don’t know the process of doing it. Instead sending the sample with the correct paperwork to the lab they are keep sending the wrong paperwork and saying we did everything correctly and the lab should respond you in TWO WEEKS! What? Really? You already took my week and saying TWO MORE WEEKS? How silly you are. Ok I hope they will read my note and start doing their job better instead playing with the phone and watching tik tok.

I came in for an appointment and the staff was very courteous. I want to especially name Soumya as the staff member that was very kind and professional not to only me but my son who I brought in with me. She greeted him and talked to him and made everyone feel very comfortable. You don't always get people that go out of their way to show how much they respect you and appreciate their job. Thank you to the staff and especially Soumya for your professionalism.

Always a very long wait. Today I went in there were no patients before me, none in the parking lot or lobby and I was the only person on the waiting list, yet I waited 30 minutes and left still not seen. Will not return. Do not recommend.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! Worst place ever. If you find yourself in need of URGENT care do yourself a favor and go to the hospital. This place is awful all the way around. The receptionist and the nurse that we dealt with were UNQUALIFIED, RUDE, and INCONSIDERATE. I never write reviews so if your reading this one… take my word for it.

One of the best place in East Brunswick good nurses good staff and great Doctor on Sunday 4/23/23 evening time they do everything to get your help that you need To make sure as you patients to be happy They give all results x Ray and flu test all on one time and described the right medication For you to get well soon thanks for all of you Doctors , nurses and staff

Horrible place waited over 2 hours on Sunday to be seen. When the nurse practitioner came she didn’t do anything for me or my son despise me telling her we had sore throats, very thick green mucus, runny noses, sever coughing and I had lost my voice. No test besides covid was done. She didn’t give any medication or antibiotics and told me to drink tea and rest. The nurse that took us in was very kind and sweet. Besides that I would never recommend going there. I took my son to his pediatrician on Monday and he tested positive for an infection in his throat and was put on antibiotics I went to my doctor on Tuesday and tested positive for strep and received antibiotics and cough medicine. Not worth the wait go anywhere else but there.

I would give zero stars if I could. I was treated here prior to the two years this facility became under new ownership. I requested a copy of my records and was instructed to email the medical records department. I was sent an automated response that they would contact me in 24-48 hours. 5 days later, no response. I called the office and was told there is nothing they can do. I am now forced to pay for a Tetanus shot that was good for 10 years out of pocket again. Do not go to this place! Terrible and unacceptable!!!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I arrived at 6:30 they close at 7 and they wouldn’t treat me because I didn’t have an “appointment” while there were no patients waiting and no one being treated. Their website clearly states that no appointment is needed. Receptionist said the doctors needed to “chart” for the patients they had all day long because they were busy. DO NOT COME HERE.
