I took my sick 3 year old here, late on a Sunday evening, she even puked in the lobby. Miss Aubree was super kind and helpful. In the back Miss Rachel and Doctor Fan, were equally kind, helpful and caring, what a great team, thanks for a great experience . I wouldn't hesitate going here again!
If I could give a zero I would! The lady at the desk was nice but once I was called to the back I felt very unwelcomed. I tend to try to over look things like that but it didn't get any better. The nurse was curt and showed zero concern. I went there for excruciating back pain to where I can't breathe, talk, walk, go to the bathroom, laugh, cry etc. Once the doctor came in he didn't show much concern and even laughed when I told him I tried to go to the ER for the pain. He didn't listen to my concerns about the pain being deep and radiating to my sides. I informed him that I had already tried every single at home treatment to do from Tylenol to ibuprofen to ice and heat to muscle relaxer and even voltarin and icy hot. His solution was to prescribe me voltarin...now what sense does that even make? Needless to say I have to go two days like this before I can get into the doctor because the joke of an ER didn't help either. I will visit the Granger location even if it's further because I've never had issues there.
Waiting over an hour with respiratory issues and they let everyone in before me even people that “ walked in” after me and then didn’t even acknowledge me at all but made me sign a consent form for care. Also they don’t take “walk ins” after 5:30 they say you need to reserve a spot in line to be seen “urgently” Don’t go there if you really need to be seen
I brought my son in on Saturday February 25th for pain that started the day before he thought he slept funny and swelling in his neck that developed Saturday and got progressively worse on throughout the day. Based on his record he saw Nurse Ford. She was very curt and snarky with me when she found out my son had attended his own birthday party before we came in. We arrived around 2:30 and waited over four hours to be seen which was fine. It was urgent care and expected. After being snappy about him going to his own birthday party saying we should have been there when they opened she told us to use ice and he could take ibuprofen and see his pediatrician on Monday if it wasn’t better. She smartly commented on our way out the door, “Hope you had fun at the party today.” I ended up taking my son to the ER at St. Joseph Hospital on Sunday because I was not returning to a beacon owned facility. They were very concerned about his neck, ran blood work, tests, and did a CT scan. He had an abscess in a gland in his neck and his jugular was narrowed. There was discussion of admitting him but we were released with a strong antibiotic. Needless to say the care and bedside manner was Beacon MedPoint was subpar.
My daughter was brought in there today. I left a message for a lady named Jody I think because the doctor sent my daughter home without any care. Had to take her to er! And guess what the sores in her mouth aren’t from a past cold. She has a respiratory infection and a nice case of hand foot and mouth. Which caused swelling in her face and tongue causing her not to be able to swallow. I am so upset that this doctor thinks it’s okay to dismiss a child that’s clearly in pain! No regard for patient care.
I had to bring my 11 Month old son in due to his regular pediatrician being closed, I made an appointment online and waited 20 minutes before I was taken back. The front desk and intake nurse were nice and professional. I saw Dr. Elek and he was very pleasant and engaging with my son. The appointment was quick and to the point but very educational. I truly enjoyed my experience with him and his pediatric skills.
The nurses were great. Very nice. Although, the nurse practitioner didn't seem to really listen to my mother's ailments. She diagnosed my mother's blisters as a bug bite. When we explained that her leg has been hurting too, she waved it off because it wasn't swollen. Then didn't even tell us we were finished. Just said they would prescribe antibiotics and left the room. Thinking we'd get discharge papers, we sat there for an extra 30 min until someone came in realizing we were in there. This was yesterday. Today, my mom had to go to the ER because she was so much worse. She has SHINGLES. Completely different.
For those of us w sick children the only thing we want are answers and for them to feel better. Our 15 month old had an on and off fever for 4 days, definitely sick! Shari at the front desk was kind, efficient and professional. Sarah our nurse genuinely listened, was caring and professional. She put her own mother hat on when caring for my son. She was gentle when performing the multiple nasal swabs… Dr Zhaijun was excellent. He listened, explained and ran the tests which provided a diagnosis peace of mind. Overall the visit was professional, timely and caring. Thank you all. Stephen is on the mend!
Made appt at 10. Got pushed to 1030 10 mins before 10. Sat in lobby until 1130 sat in exam room for 40 mins. So my appt that I set up 2 days prior for my sons physical took over 2 hours until we were even seen. Dr was nice but the organizational/logistical managing of this place is and always has been very hit or miss
This place was very professional and clean but took a little longer than I thought it would. Staff was very kind and helpful
