Posting this for my mother: I was very pleased with the visit with Dr. Stein. He was very honest about what I could expect from surgical replacement of my left elbow. Being limited to less than 2 lbs. of pressure on that arm would mean that I would have less ability to transfer and use my arm than I have now. So, I am satisfied with the status quo. There are hours every day that L have no pain and I am not on any pain medicine, and I thank God for the blessings I've been given. Thank you for your careful attention and kindness!
I finally left without seeing the doctor. And to be perfectly honest, I don’t blame the doctor. Our appointment was at 1 o’clock. We got there right at 1:00 PM. They took us rather quickly to get x-rays and then we waited for 55 minutes. at that point, I had another appointment that I needed to get to by 2:30 which required some driving. Unfortunately, I know big companies want to make more money so they limit the amount of time the doctors can spend with patients. And when doctors spend more time, answering patients questions, and responding to patient needs, Drs get backed up. It is very frustrating. I like Dr. Stein and his staff, But I’m not sure I want to support MedSTAR if this is the approach they take.
I have never had such a hard time scheduling a medical appointment. Humana faxed over my referral multiple times, but each time I called to confirm my referral had been received I was told they did not receive my referral. I was even on the phone with Humana during one of their calls to confirm the fax number. Robin in the main office was as helpful as she could be and understood my frustration and called Humana to make sure my referral was faxed over, she assured me I was good to go for my appointment. . When I arrived for my appointment I was told they did not have my referral. The young lady at the front desk was able to go into Tricare and found my referral. During my appointment the PA had another X-ray taken of my elbow. When he came in to see me he spent five minutes with me and said the X-ray did not show any fractures and dismissed the fat pad on the X-ray as not unusual. I mentioned to him I was experiencing popping but he did not seem concerned. As I was leaving I put my brace back on and he commented are you putting it back on to remind you to be careful when using your elbow and told me to come back in two weeks. My primary doctor ordered an MRI on my arm. The MRI showed an impact fracture and torn ligament. They wanted me to see an orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible and scheduled an appointment at Walter Reed. Due to my possible dislocation of my elbow, which I did tell the PA my elbow had popped out when I fell, they are concerned this could be a problem. I felt completely dismissed during my appointment with the PA and that he did not take what I was saying with any seriousness. I am very thankful my primary doctor insisted I have an MRI done, The PA did not even recommend having an MRI nor did he ask if I had ordered to have one. My whole experience with this orthopedic office was very frustrating and seemed to lack professionalism a patient should expect. I would not recommend them.
I live in White Marsh, but try to always see my caregiver at this location. Very punctual, very caring and very thorough. Having the best Orthopedic Team is a blessing in itself, but to feel secure...and safe...while receiving this care makes it a win/win for me. Very satisfied with all aspects of this facility.
Dr. Wisbeck and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable and listen to your concerns. They have assisted my husband and I with multiple foot issues and we are appreciative of their care!
Front desk staff was great, appt was easy to make, and wait in office was short. The PA was knowledgeable and answered all my questions thoroughly. I would highly recommend and would go back to them. My only complaint is that I made the appointment with Dr Wisbeck and waited 6 weeks to see him, however I only say the PA at the office visit and was never even given the opportunity to speak with Dr Wisbeck himself.
Dr. Dawson evaluated my X-ray, sharing what the image revealed. However, with limited insight gleaned from the X-ray, associated with my maladies, he recommended an MRI. He also shared with me other options once an evaluation of the MRI has been completed. There is a lot of water to go under the bridge before any final diagnosis is attainted. I felt very comfortable in Dr. Dawson's office. He was very professional and I felt that, given time, and his expertise, my situation will be resolved.
Dr. Sedgley is an exceptional sports medicine doctor. His attentive care and commitment to training residents makes him stand out. I highly recommend for his expertise and compassionate approach.
I had the best experience with Dr. Sedgley and his team. They made sure I got in timely and I was able to get answers quicker than I would have if I went somewhere else. I cannot thank them enough for how amazing they were while dealing with my injury!
I was mad because, I have to pay $200.00 to see my Doctor .l thought is covered by Medcare. They called me the same day my appointment! I called Kaiser but couldn't do it sent the paper work against their policy! So I have to cancel my appointment!!!
