For those who don't know me, here is a little bit about myself.
I am a recent graduate of Bryan University with an associate's degree in Advanced Personal Training and Exercise Science. I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I am currently working on a Fitness Nutrition certification also.
I took an interest in fitness about 5 years ago when I started a personal weight loss journey of my own. I have over the years lost a total of 50 pounds. About a year and a half ago I had a slight set back when I broke my back. It took a while for me to heal and then it took a while for me to get back into the game mentally. But I am now back at it at full force.
I enjoy all types of exercise, but my favorites are powerlifting and boxing. I am also a huge fan of Zumba and any other group exercises. I believe there is a lot to come from a group class because it is fun and the other people challenge you to do better!!
In May I competed in my first local powerlifting competition and took first place. It was a great feeling knowing that I have overcome my injury and pushed myself to do things I never thought possible.
My goal for you is that you learn to love yourself. Love yourself for who you are!! Love yourself so much that you want to stay healthy and make changes that will help you love yourself for years and years to come.
