I visited the place August 31, 2022 to get some bear. The man attending the business that afternoon was very rude and unfriendly, I just asked him were in the store I could find a specific bear but he treated me like if I was bothering him and responded to me in a very nasty way. However the lady at the cashier was very nice to me
Well it's been 8 plus years since I first reviewed this Mega liquors. Unfortunately they're under new owners according to the Cuban employee lady that rang me up. They no longer have the Atlântico blended 23yr Solera rum that I raved about on the previous review I made of them in 2011 after being introduced to it at this Mega liquors. Not only do they not stock it anymore; but the late night stocker whom speaks only Spanish stated adamantly they NEVER have. Lol They do not send the mailers with the specials anymore nor do they send emails with the special up coming free tastings. A lot has changed in these 8yrs or so. Strongly considering restocking our party liquor cabinets at Total Wine & More from now on. It does not help that we were asked by the same person 4 times if we needed help. 3 out of the four times we informed the lady that we were looking for a replacement for the Solera rum they do not stock. Pushy vibe, almost like trying to run us off. To be fair, they have a wide variety of spirits. They also have craft beers, wines etc. Good spot but perhaps not the best considering there's a total wine & more a mile away from this store in Town & Country mall.
Great service with good selections and the prices are not bad as well. The female at the counter was awesome.
Excellent value for the money and an extensive selection. The staff is well versed in their offerings and happy to help you find what you want, even if they need to have it transferred from another location.
The staff is always helpful and make great recommendations. Prices are good too
Excellent neighborhood Liquor store w/great prices
The place is okay. I suggest they don't follow you around like you're going to steal while shopping. It's extremely uncomfortable.
Not too many choices of rum for me
I bought 2 french red wine a st emilion and a brouilly and 2 french sparkling wine. The sparkling wines were good, but the red wines had turned bad. They tasted like they had been stored at ambient temperature for years. - I am confident that it's a problem with the storing and not the wines themselves, as I'm very familiar with both st-emilion and brouilly wines. And the wines tasted nothing like wines from those regions are supposed to and did not match the reviews of those vintages on vivino either. - Those wines were rather old 7 and 8 years iirc, but nothing extraordinary. Stored properly, those wines should age very well for 10 years especially st-emilion. - The store was way too hot to age wine, so if they don't pay attention to how long a wine has been on the shelf, the old ones will be very bad. Apart from that, the staff was friendly. I just would avoid wines which might have spent a long time on the shelf so stick to popular brands and wines <4 years old.
Great local spot for beer wine and liquor . Good prices too
