Decided to try this place despite all the horror stories, and I’m glad I did. I usually use another parking service when I leave my car in LA, but this place had the absolute best price for leaving my car long term 17 days. They were less than half the price of everyone else in town. Check in was a breeze, showed my confirm # and paid, got a ride to LAX in about 10 min. Called for pickup and had a van there in about 10 min also. Nothing stolen, no damage, maybe I just got lucky, but I have to review based on my experience with them.
I would probably not use mega airport parking again for a few reasons. One: this out door parking lot, so you definitely pay for what you get. Two: the bathroom needs some improvement. Three: shuttle is little more than an old van. With this said if you should want a cheap place to park and you don't care than this is the way to go.
So we arrived back in the States a few days ago after spending 30 days in Southeast Asia to find out our truck had been burglarized. Before we left, we had spent the prior week at Disneyland and so we departed from LAX. I had called various parking lots to see who can give us a good price for 30 days of parking. I found a place that quoted like $250 for the month which was fair. Many places were $10+ per day. The manager Manny then asks me how I'd be paying and I replied by credit card. He then offered a large discount if I paid cash... $200 so I jumped on it. Upon landing and retrieving our luggage at LAX, we shuttle'd a trip back to the parking lot. I opened the tailgate lid of our Tundra and notice everything is missing. Here's the sad part: All the kids Christmas presents, including the wife's was there... plus all our clothes and gear for the next three months for Phoenix where we spend the winters, electronics, computers and other business equipment/supplies. Estimated loss of $5500, probably more. Really feel violated. How could someone be so...? I'm really kicking myself. I ignored poor reviews, parking lot owner wanted to accept keys and park the vehicle themselves, but I didn't want to hand over keys so I self-parked since I had valuables in the truck. They initially told me to park in the middle of the driveway at the entrance which I thought was weird, so I asked for a more discreet spot. Damn! I asked if it was safe here, and the manager said "oh yeah, absolutely". When I arrived at night, I only then saw all the lighting in the parking lot was out, like not working. No security camera and in hindsight, my truck was an easy target. I called the police. Sgt said the area was full of transient and homeless people and they often get calls of vehicles burglarized. Unfortunately, I didn't read any of this in the reviews before parking there. Most of the negative reviews were about long shuttle waiting times. This sucks. We're scrambling to make up the lost Christmas gifts. They were gifts acquired from "deals" sites over the past year. As far as the parking lot, all I can do is leave reviews warning others of the impending safety of their vehicle while parked at this lot. Shouldn't the parking lot owners be somewhat culpable since I paid them to park in their private parking spot? It's not like I parked on a public street.
It is the cheapest parking in the area but you really do get what you pay for. I arrived at 10:30pm and the parking lot was jam packed. Luckily there was one small parking spot that I was able to squeeze into. When I asked about the shuttle, the security guard proceeded to tell me that he was unsure if the shuttle will be returning. The website states that the shuttle runs until 12am so I found it hard to believe that it would take over an hour and a half for the shuttle to return. Luckily I was able to split an Uber with a woman that was in the same predicament but it is very inconvenient to be counting on a shuttle service that in the ending would not get you to the airport. Please heed the warnings and do not use this parking service. Update: plus 1 star for the wonderful pick up experience. I called the shuttle service and the dispatcher was very professional. I immediately got a call from the driver to confirm the pick up. In 15 minutes the driver was there to pick me up in a black Ford Expedition. The driver was so polite and the car was clean. Definitely a better experience!
Left a dent on our car after we picked up and refused to make an insurance claim to fix it. This place is garbage. They parked our car so close to the chainlink fence that it left scratches on the bumper. It's crazy too, because our car has a rear view camera and beeps when you get close to anything. On top of that, the guy pulling our car out burned the clutch so bad. Clearly not an experienced manual driver. Be careful. The cheap parking wasn't so cheap after my $500 deductible.
Terrible service, called 911 bc they refuse to honor a 3rd party order. Please don't park with them unless you enjoy a mess
Very ez.. but they should generate numeric code as well, in case ones phone is dead
The process for Mega Airport parking wasn’t bad. However, not every car has a parking spot, they cram the cars wherever they can so if you’re afraid of your car getting scratched, I wouldn’t recommend here. The shuttle was the worst part. We waited over 20 minutes for it to pick us up from the airport. The worker inside finally called the shuttle driver and it sounded like he was just hanging out somewhere because he didn’t see any people waiting outside. He then didn’t help load anything into the shuttle and made us wait another 10 minutes while he took a personal phone call. Waiting for the shuttle after arriving back took over 20 minutes again, the other person in the shuttle said he waited over 30. We then waited extra time for someone who wasn’t ready to be picked up but begged the driver to wait for him. When we finally got back they already had our vehicles pulled out and waiting for us, which was nice and easy, but I did not like that my key was left in the car with the window down. If the shuttle was faster, it would have been a better experience. You pay for what you get, I guess, and this is cheap.
I feel bad because I had scratch on front and rear bumper when I pick up my car. Maga Parking said we have no responsibility on any damage.
This is a parking place where you pull in, leave your keys, and they park your car for you then keep the keys for the duration of your trip. The lot is fenced and the area has an industrial and somewhat dilapidated vibe but it's totally unrealistic to expect more at the really low daily rate $5-7 per day. When dropping off your car: You pull up and talk with the attendant in a small office, leave your keys with him/her, unload your bags, and get taken to the airport in a 15 passenger van. I prepaid online, but I believe you can pay on the spot. At LAX, they drop you off on the lower level at the designated spot in whichever terminal you'd like. [We arrived on a Saturday at 1:45 pm and got to the airport at 2:05 pm.] When getting picked up at the airport: you call the number and tell the attendant your ticket number. I suggest taking a photo of it because if you lose it, they can't bring up your car before hand, it might be double parked, etc. etc. They tell you when the next shuttle will be there and where to wait at LAX, it's at the red "Hotel Shuttles" stop on the lower level and then they pick you up in a white 15 passenger van. [We called on a Monday at 2:39 pm, got out to the curb 2:54 pm, and picked up before 3:00 pm. We got to Mega Airport Parking at 3:15 pm.] I gave 4 our 5 stars due to the really dirty 15 passenger vans. It's probably been two years since they were last cleaned, and it showed everywhere: the fabric of the seats, windows, seat belt straps, carpet, door handles, etc. Tolerable for short distances but not much more : Overall I recommend because the price is so low, IF you have the patience to add 20 minutes *minimum* each to your departure and arrival. Also, I interacted with 3 people in the office and 2 drivers and everyone was polite and easy to understand.
