Very nice selection of Collectible toys and learning, skills, tasks type toys for children to build, learn and play with. Love going there with my 4 year young son. We both always find something we "can't live without!"
It's been many years since I've been here. This trip was groceries. Store was super clean, nice wide aisles. Food was organized, lots of helpful signage that was accurate! Well stocked. Comparing to local Kroger and Walmart, this was so much nicer!
Nice Meijer, clean and good for a one stop shop. However, the manager/supervisor was very rude to me when assisting a cashier with a price override for items that scanned incorrectly. The cashier even apologized for her when she was gone. Made me immediately want to not buy any thing else in my cart and leave as fast as possible. Other employees I interacted with were all very kind and welcoming so I’m not sure what I did to upset her so badly.
We had breakfast during or stay, the buffet was hot, fresh and well stocked. The eggs and omelettes are chilled to order. We stopped by the bar in the evenings and had some really great local selections. Our bartender was outstanding and made the best chocolate martini!
I do 50% of my shopping at Meijer on Illinois road and I can always count on their produce to be exceptional! There is one thing that continues to frustrate me and that is an employee that works there at the self check out lanes. I believe she is the smallest girl who works there and her hair is cut right beneath her ears. She has made eye contact with my girlfriend and I more times than I can count and has never said anything to us as we walk into out of her area to leave. We get greeted on the way in and out by the associates at the door almost every time, but never from her. What made me post this comment today was something along the same page, in fact as I was walking towards her today to leave the checkout area and she quickly turned her entire body around the other direction just to not make eye contact. I have never seen this girl anywhere besides Meijer so I’m not sure why she continues to act like this toward us. It makes us feel very disrespected, especially after how much money we spend there. Hopefully this gets seen by the right person so this can be addressed. Im order to not have a bad experience when we we go to Meijer, we very much hope that she will not be working. Absolutely a terrible experience! Empty shelves, items moved, wrong prices on items at check out. Check out was a total embarrassment, had to bag our own items, cashier could not keep up. Went to Customer Service for a price adjustment and was treated very rude. Been a Meijer customer for well over 40 years & doubt we will be back.
Very clean store. Friendly staff and helpful. Wish you had more checkout lines open. I'm not good at self check out. 2 lines were long.
I had to delete a previous bad review to even write this. I am appalled at how this store treats their fish. I visited this store twice in one day HOURS apart and there were dead/dying fish in the same tank as live ones. If Meijer employees knew anything about keeping fish, you'd know that dead or sick fish will kill any living fish in the tank. These particular fish, Blood parrot cichlids, are extremely intelligent and complex and I have been keeping the same ones for going on 10 years in a 50 gallon tank. They grow to be huge fish and can live a very long time. Absolute negligence towards these living things. My camera isn't the best my priority or money isn't too concerned with electronics but I took pictures and videos. Shame on you Meijer. I will also be sharing this with local animal rights groups as well. Corporate greed at it's finest. Just sick. I'm ashamed of this country sometimes.
The last eight months produce has been awful! My wife ordered avocados and it was spoiled and leaking in the bag! Also ordered peppers, bananas, onions, and mushrooms all spoiled two days ago! Online ordering has been a disaster almost all the time with not having inventory but yet shows available. I usually don’t leave reviews but this last order was the final straw! Check your produce before checking out.
The fact I spend almost 800.00 in the store today while walking out they lock my cart and treat me like I stole something even after the cashier confirmed I have a large order! They had me stand there alarm went off after cart wheel is locked to where I can’t exit the store showed receipt but no they treat me like a thief I will not be shopping there again
