From the phone call to my actual experience this gym is awesome !!! Big country “the owner” is happy to be there and has established an amazing gym with tons of equipment and weight for what you need. He looks out for his member and after a devastating hurricane this is the first gym that opened in the area

I had the opportunity to work out at the Powerhouse Gym in Houma, LA while there for a week on business. Suffice to say, it easily ranks in my top five favorite gyms. I travel extensively and hate to miss workouts. Thus, I try to locate a gym that meets my needs before I start a trip. For Houma, I sent a text message to the number listed on the gym website inquiring about day passes, etc. I received a text back right away with the info I needed. I went to the Powerhouse on my first day in Houma and knew immediately that I had made a great decision. After meeting the owner Country, it was clear to me why the gym had all the equipment I needed, was very clean, and spacious. I ended up getting three workouts in at the Powerhouse that week. The only thing that would make this gym better was for it to be in my town so that I could workout there regularly.

One of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. If you’re local or visiting, you should go here. The owner is super awesome and a great guy to talk to. The gym has all the equipment to train and get a killer workout in.

Tried to go work out for a day , since my gym was ckosed for the fourth of july , guy who greeted me never gave me eye contact , said he is not accepting money and gym is for members only …… i really wanna say something else , but i will leave it at that …. Zero class forsure

Gym has great machines and hospitable owners. I am travelling in from out of town, and they invited me over for a free first day and second day at $10. They were very welcoming considering that I was visiting. They told me to let them know when I'm in town next. Great people. Definitely recommend.

Great gym with brand new equipment, lots of space, a separate room for heavier lifters, a large spin class room and a large yoga room. They offer lots of different classes. They also have supplements and pre-workout for sale if u forget yours. Owned and operated by a wonderful couple that really knows their stuff and definitely goes that extra mile to make you feel like family from day one!! They also offer discounted rates for offshore workers, police and firemen. If you're looking for a gym to call home...come on by..you'll see the difference from the other places Houma has to offer and you'll be glad you did!

WOW! Powerhouse Gym of Houma is amazing.  They offer me all the things I need to dominate my weight lose goals. They have Personal Trainers, Supplements, Smoothies, Free Weights, Machines, and classes. I am most impressed with the owners and their staff. They always greet me when I come in and ask me "How are you doing today?". The great part is that they really want me to tell them. They have a huge parking lot so there is always a parking spot.  If you are looking for a place to lose a few pounds, trim down that waistline, bulk up for competition or gain that competitive advantage in your athletic performance this is my recommendation.  Join!

Amazing gym!! The best equipment I have seen in the Louisiana area. The owners, and staff are extremely friendly with a genuine "familia" view of their members. Highly motivating trainers available to assist you in your personal gym goals. A smoothie/ protein shake bar for those post workout cravings. And a onsite nutritionist available as well to assist you with your weight loss/ gains goals. They also offer several group cardio classes, price included in membership. The child care workers are amazing. There is also a separate karate class available, for a low fee, on site for ages 4+. Its a great gym, open 24/7, at an affordable price. I would highly recommend giving Powerhouse a try.

Great gym even though on the day of my visit 3/6/2016 not all the equipment was set up as they had just opened the day before. I happened to be in Houma and wanted to get a workout in and the staff were awesome - showed me around and Tyler even helped spot me during some bench presses. Great space, great equipment! I don't live in Houma but I look forward to my next trip back to train here again!!
