THE SPEED LIMIT IS 20MPH! If you don't want to pay the fine, don't speed in the town of Melbourne Village. Simple. We appreciate our town police department! This is a safe and protected community in part due to their hard work.
Don’t drive through Melbourne unless you won’t make it any further. This police department treated my family and I very poorly on a routine traffic stop and when I mentioned something happened to my son he wasn’t concerned. This is another police department that is pulling people over and maxing out ticket amounts just to keep their department operating.
I don't understand how you can justify a police force for such a small area. It's costly for the residents and excessive. I could understand maybe two officers and one police car, but eight? Really?? King is rude and just looks for an excuse to abuse his power. Living here is nice but this department is a deal breaker. Save yourself from high taxes and a bored police force and skip moving here.
In my opinion this police department has always been a waste of time and money not surprised they're hitting the door
