About me:
My name is Melissa Gomes and I am a wife to an amazing husband and a stay at home mommy to two silly, adorable little kids. We adopted our son David in 2013 and our daughter Alice in 2014. They make me so happy!
I am from western WA but have lived in La Grande OR for the last 16 years. We own a beautiful farm that is often a location for my photography shoots. I am blessed!
Education:
I attended Eastern Oregon University (Go EOU!) where I received a bachelors degree in Art with an emphasis in photography and drawing and also a masters degree in elementary education.
Work:
I taught 2nd grade in Nicaragua and absolutely loved it! For four years I taught 1st grade and kindergarten in La Grande. After having kids we decided I would stay at home with them. Now I spend my days with my favorite people!
It was time for me to get back to the passion I awakened in collage...PHOTOGRAPHY. I started my business in 2014 and have been going strong ever since! My husband and I made a studio in our backyard. It is an amazing little space full of many outfits and props for my newborn sessions. My studio is primarily used for newborn through 5 years old.
I'm Eastern Oregon's maternity, newborn, child and family photographer!
