CPA Firm
Melissa was born and raised in Vero Beach, Florida. After graduating high school, Melissa moved to Orlando to further her education at the University of Central Florida (UCF). For the next seven years, she pursued a Bachelor’s degree followed by her Master's degree in Accounting, employed and pursuing her career in the same field. Melissa's experience began in the private sector of accounting while working with a Property Management Company located in Winter Park, Florida. Still not sure private accounting was her niche, her desire to pursue the public accounting side landed her a position with a small firm in the Orlando area working in both domestic and international tax. This firm would later merge and become one of the larger regional firms in the Orlando area. It was then Melissa discovered her passion for assisting her clients with a multitude of tax and accounting needs.
Concluding her education at UCF, Melissa's aspirations lead to her return to Vero Beach, the nurturing community in which she was raised and still adored. She contracted with a local accounting firm, all the while studying diligently for the CPA exam. After passing the exam on her first attempt, she earned her license, Certified Public Accountant, in December 2008.
Reflecting on her childhood and high school years, Melissa finds it very important to "give back" to the community which generously provided so much to her throughout her lifetime. She enjoys volunteering with several local nonprofits in Indian River County. Currently Melissa serves on the Board of United Way of Indian River County as Treasurer and the Homeless Family Center Board

Outside of her professional life, Melissa is married to Greg Medlock and they have two children, Peyton and Kassidy. When not working, Melissa can be found spending time with family enjoying the Indian River on their boat or at the beach.
