I have an autoimmune disorder. This will be my 5th time in 6 months that I had to come here for treatment. The ER is always busy but they are very organized. They listen when you have issued and try and get you help as fast as they can and if it’s within their control. Make sure to tell them all of your ailments.
This place is awful. My mother was brought her after suffering an aneurysm and stroke. The doctors do not communicate with their patients, nurses or families. The case managers are very difficult to get into contact with and they’re not helpful in the least. They seem to always be busy or hard to reach. Random nurses and doctors come in and ask information they should already know about my mother. When I have questions, it seems no one has answers. We are a family with no health insurance and we’ve been left without help or resources to deal with our sick loved one alone. This hospital is great at making you feel like you don’t matter. I feel sorry for other low income families and patients that end up here. I wish things were different. I wish we were sent somewhere else.
Thank you for your service! Dr. William Nguyen was outstanding. He took time to explain and help us to understand my mom’s condition. He’s very professional in treatment! Nurse Felicia, Nurse Assistant Mark were wonderful. They are very dedicated, gentle, experienced, professional in their field of taking care their patients. Overall, the staffs here were very nice and helpful. They would go above and beyond to make my mom feel better. Thank you so much. Continue the good work! God bless you all!
Visited the Heart and Cardiovascular Institute @ Memorial Hermann Southwest this morning for check in for procedure for next week. Everyone I interacted with were great, very attentive, and professional. I really felt cared for and though I certainly don't like the thought of going to the hospital, I feel comfortable with folks like this as part of the overall Memorial Hermann team. I was in the door for about 45 seconds and one of the intake personnel, Eustachian Polk, got up from her desk in her office and asked if she could help me. She is very cordial and professional. A great person to interact with and a nice personality.
I had more tests. Ms Shanel who does the paperwork is so patient, kind and sweet. The first office looks like the director or something, folks were coming out of a meeting the man spoke smiling. I could see his eyes and that was polite. Nico, and Minnie did my X-rays and were accommodating, and patient with me. Thanks memorial Hermann hospital for another pleasant experience. They did a quintuple bypass on my father-in-law. Thank them very much. Place is very clean and nice
My wife had c section in this hospital. The service is good, nurse, doctor and staff are very good and responsive. I will give 5 * for the service. However, they sent a huge bill though insurance paid most of it. Felt expensive and I called finance department and asked about this and discount. They said they cannot offer any discount on the amount that I have to pay to them from out of pocket though they got paid from insurance. This is bit frustrating.
This emergency room is the worst. My daughter has been very sick and has had to go to this emergency room several times in the last few weeks. If I could give a zero star, I would. The wait times are horrific and they treat people terrible here and provide no information as to the reason why the wait is so long. She is going on 9+ hours this time of waiting to be seen while vomiting the whole time in the waiting room and her doctor sent her there to be treated. This place needs to be shut down and I will definitely be reporting to the medical board, health department. No human, or animal for that matter should be treated this way.
Was there to visit a family member today who is gravely ill. I will not be too graphic but the care was less than adequate. They are making the person use a diaper because they don’t want to bother with getting them to the bathroom or using a catheter. I had to ask to have the old blood flushed from his ivy needle which isn’t even being used but is tearing up the persons arm and clearly hurting them. The person is too weak to eat or drink on their own and has no ivy yet there are no attempts to give them any liquids. No feeding tube to help them eat either. They look emaciated. They also are leaving this very sharp and uncomfortable hard plastic pressure check arm sleeve on their arm all the time and it’s clearly very uncomfortable. Total lack of care about the patients privacy or comfort. Steer clear of this place.
This review is for Arthur a tech in nursing services in the ER. He went above and beyond to make the patient feel comfortable. When the nurses were too busy he tended to the patient. Again he went above and beyond and we thank you.
