I recently had a surgical procedure at Ludington Hospital. The staff, nurses, anesthesiologist, the doctor, were such amazing people. I felt safe and well cared for and in very capable hands. I cannot recommend this hospital enough! Thank you to all of them.
I was in Ludington for a wedding a few weeks ago. I have angioedema that was triggered by an allergic reaction. My throat was swelling and my breathing was severely compromised. The staff noticed right away that my breathing issue was severe. They had me in ER with nurses starting IV’s in both arms within 30-60 seconds. I received awesome efficient care in the emergency room and also in CCU following. Wonderful staff! Thank you!!
Absolutely horrible.. my 3 month old son was in the waiting room for over 3 hours sick. Then when we finally get seen they ask us has he been congested we say yes then they ask well do you think he needs a COVID test? Umm idk that's why we are here for advice and to see what is wrong shouldn't you be the one telling us what tests he needs? Never even listened to his lungs to see how congested or anything a strep test was negative and he didn't have a fever at that time because we gave him Tylenol. It's a season change so bronchitis and pneumonia are possible but didn't check. They more or less just went yeah IDK if he starts having difficulty breathing and a hard time eating bring him back. That's why we were even there in the first place! What are you gunna do the next time actually do your job?
Went in at 7 am, with an infected wound on my head, hurting so bad I couldn't sleep. The woman behind the desk, Tamorha, began the registration. Put a bracelet on me, then told me, that a "Medicare questionairre", popped up on her screen, and had to be filled out before I could be seen. Tried telling me it was "routine". I've been going to this hospital since 90, and it's never popped up. Been on Medicare for 13 years, never popped up. She could care less on my medical needs, this questionairre HAD to be filled out. I left. I called up to the general info desk, and SHE answered. Proceeds to call me a liar, and kept putting me on hold. After the 3rd call back, she FINALLY got her "supervisor, who listed halfheartedly, then proceeded to put me on hold and left me there. After 10 minutes, I hung up. This historical is getting more and more ridiculous. I'm looking for another health system to go to. I can't deal with them anymore. If you value your life, don't use this hospital!!!
This hospital is a joke. They do not have a pediatrician on call at the the hospital. If you do not come in by ambulance a person will wait at least six hours. There was a person having a heart attack on waiting room and the ER doctors did not take him back. The receptionist at ER are rude and inconsiderate. I would rather drive to Grand Rapids or Traverse City to be seen
We were in town for a wedding reception. Hubby had a random passing out episode that has never happened before. On a side of caution we came to this ER. It is very clean, wait time was about 10mins, and staff was professional! Dr. Lagada and his team that day, thank you!!!
My experience was horrific here. I see a lot of responses from the hospital saying “ We’re sorry you had a negative experience “. That’s not a sufficient response. To file a healthcare licensing complaint, go to LARA through the State of Michigan. File your healthcare licensing complaint through the state. Keep all of your documentation, make sure you have someone present with you. Unfortunately the administration at this hospital placed their patients at risk. They even put their good staff at risk. You can also notify your health insurance company & contact JCAHO & file a detailed report with them in addition to a licensing complaint.
I broke my knee cap. In the Emergency wing I had some complications with blood pressure, but the P.A. handled it well. I'm only sorry that i don't remember his name. The hospitalists Dr. Beeman and Dr. Marcus were kind and reassuring. The orthopedic surgeon Dr. Grierson was highly recommended by the staff and he went out of his way to connect me with a surgeon to do my follow up care since I am not local. The nurses and nurse assistants were attentive, kind and professional. I was very pleased with my care. Thank you to Emily, Ann, Tania, Makenzie, the physical therapy staff and a humorous transportation team.
Was salmon fishing and caught a 2 oz jigging lure right in the face after it broke free from a fish at the boat..The barb was buried and being in the face we headed to the Emergency room. Everything from the check in to the removal of the hook went perfect..Staff was super great and I was in and out of there in less than an hour...Definetly a positive experience..
Had a CT scheduled for 10 AM local time 12 noon MST. My calendar entry was MST. Showed up at 12 for the 10 am appointment. Registration and both techs were so great. Thanks for being so responsive. Most other places would say reschedule come back later. Ludington Spectrum Hospital thanks for great customer service.
