I absolutely love this park. I take my little one kitten here to run around and exercise here. And same for me Not the most prettiest of parks but it's still great to be around. Especially if you like the mountainous views that surrounds the place Playground: There's to my knowledge one children's playground near the side of the park that's close to the library Restrooms: As for restrooms, there are porta potties in different locations of the park that everyone Dog-friendliness: I see dogs all the time at the park on their leashes on walks with their parents. There's even doggy trash bag things all around the park. However they are never really filled up Picnic area: There's benches to sit down on everywhere around the Memorial Park. Anyone can bring a blanket as well and lay down in a soft spot and have a brunch there or something of the sort
It is wonderful to walk through the Roses and to know that other parts of the country still have snow. The grounds are well maintained and the volunteers working are always there ready to answer questions and give you advice on growing roses.
Today my family rented the Memorial Park private area for a Labor Day weekend family celebration. While we had been renting the Grandville Park city shelter for over 20 years, we decided to try an outdoor venue. Although it started to rain in the early afternoon, it turned out to be a beautiful day! Our family really enjoyed the facility-- with a oversized gazebo structure for seating and private restrooms as well. While the rest of the park is plagued with tons of weeds, this private area is pretty weed-free. I don't know if we will come back on a yearly basis, but this experience will certainly favor the possibility! :-
My favorite park to come enjoy nature. It's a great mile park with little hidden areas with stairs in between.also a walk thru passage plus a bridge. It's surrounded by amazing trees plus historic houses in the area.plus a bit hilly in some areas. It maybe flat around yet goes up in the middle for viewing sitescome here every time i have a chance!
One mile lap challenging because it is not flat course. Park elevation allows for >180° scenic view of city. New upgrades to pool & tennis courts a big plus. Winters can be fun to. Great family place. From picnic's, walks, a play area, to tennis courts, and the pool next door at the aquatic center. It is a relaxing bit of nature within the city. Just keep an eye for the stop signs.
There are hills and many shade trees, the air is fresh and smells of pine trees. My wife and I love to walk around this park and watch the squirrels. They also have a playground for the little ones. This is one of our favorite parks to visit.
Roses everywhere!!! So well maintained, walkways are clean and level, flower beds were immaculate. Good mix of sun and shade with bench seating throughout. The smell of flowers everywhere, such a.lovely way to.spend an afternoon ! Ps- no charge.
Pretty cool spot to ride a bike or throw a frisbee. Memorial hands down is one of El Paso top parks.
Pretty big park. It's not in the safest side of town but it's pretty convenient for everybody being close to the center. The grass isn't too watered but then again it's El Paso. At least there's tennis courts.
