Nice place to find home improvement and hardware items. They also have truck rentals. It’s a huge place with literally everything you can think of. Might be a tad bit expensive than Home Depot. Customer service was excellent and courteous.
This is literally the best ice cream I’ve had since Europe! Strawberry cheesecake was so flavorful, both me and my girlfriend enjoy it very much. Will definitely come back. Stuff was so friendly!
Michael in the paint section was phenomenal help to me today... he knew exactly what I was looking for, and in several different options. I was impressed with his quickness, sharpness, and overall genuine sense of courtesy and kindness. I really thought this was worth mentioning because it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. I definitely recommend coming here to get your paint and paint supplies.
I just had the most pleasant experience returning deck blocks that I had purchased from this store. I wasn’t sure where to go to initiate the return so I pulled up to the pickup gate to ask the gate attendant. He told me exactly where to go and what to get. It was a breeze getting a hold of the receipt from the return kiosk, and an attendant there helped make sure that we had everything that we needed. Just a great and seamless experience. This was on New Year’s Day!
Always a great experience here. They have plenty of staff people ready to answer all your questions. They have a great selection of things. This is my go to spot for small household needs.
I have never had to deal with such a horrible experience like this. As we are all aware we were hit with a pretty bad flood that hit a lot of us in Cicero town, we drove over 45 min to purchase a water pump Generac 5hp gas powered that total amount was $519 only to get home open the box and realize it was damaged, however desperate moments calls for desperate times so we went ahead added the fuel knowing it was damaged because we needed to use it regardless of the bent on the outside of it. After so many tries the pump has yet to work, we took it back the next day NOT FOR A REIMBURSEMENT but for an exchange only to get denied of service or any help for that matter since we had already put gas on it. Now I understand that but when this was purchased there was no explanation of such or else we would’ve not even attempted to use it. So now here we are with another flood warning, $500 short and with no Pump to help. The Phone number they provided us to contact to take it back for repairs has not even answer our calls or contacted us back. Now who’s robbing who here? And we’ve called multiple times for at least some guidance and all the store has told us is that the box was sealed when we picked it up?! Of course it was sealed who won’t re-tape a box that has been returned before. They also told me there was no record of it being returned in the last 90 days but tell me? When was the last flood we had here in Illinois so of course if they look back in the last 90 days they won’t see any records of it. Menards has screwed us over really bad and seem not to care at all to at least offer some guidance or further assistance as this isn’t something so small to be taken this light. Names of people we’ve spoken with were Anam and Vanessa.
Michael and Wes in building materials are such great employees at your store. They helped me immensely. Thanks guys- this is the best service I’ve had in awhile.
As a handyman, Menards is my go-to place! This is the only place I go to pick up building materials. You can drive right up to lumber piles in the lumber yard which makes loading super efficient. BE sure to go to the building materials desk and get a pick ticket. You can take the pick ticket to the checkout line and then pull your truck into the lumber yard in back for the most efficient loading!
Purchased $3000 worth of bathroom hardware and vanities. One small cabinet wasn't a good fit. Took it back to return, person behind the "customer service" desk told loudly his co-workers im going to hit him with the restocking fee of 25%. After explaining to them this is not special order, just an online order, they claimed it didn't make a difference. Some young manager came by, said there was nothing he can do. It was ordered online because they didn't have it in stock. For someone who is in construction and spent thousands of dollars at menards, this is unacceptable. They need to train people how to treat customers.
Been going to Menard's for 25 years. I am a great customer. Awhile back, I was followed around the store by a young man. Every time I turned around he was there. I was afraid he was going to follow me into the parking lot and mug me so I started to move quickly up and down the aisles to shake him off. Finally, I did not see him anymore so I checked out. When I left the store, an employee had followed me out and asked to see my receipt. I had no idea what was going on so I showed it to her. She said "There are no razor blades on this receipt." I said "I didn't buy razor blades. They were thirty dollars so I threw them onto a shelf in one of the aisles." She asked me to go back into the store and show her where I put them. I was angry but I went in with her. I told her I put them down right before I got on line but I didn't remember which aisle it was. She said "That is the last aisle you went down." pointing to one of the aisles off the check out lines. We went down the aisle and she spotted the razor blades on a shelf. She said:"Oh." surprised, apparently. She walked away without a word or explanation of any kind. No apology, no nothing. I now realized the young man following me must have been employed by Menards to prevent shop lifting but instead harassed a very good customer. He actually was so bad at his job I was totally aware he was following me. The worst shopping experience of my life. I would call ACLU but I am a white 50 year old male. Unprofessional, inexcusable, rude, tactless, garbage behavior. Hello, Home Depot.
