Edit: I was contacted by the Clinical Director who was very professional and helpful, reassigned us, and things are working out much better. I definitely wouldn't recommend the doctor we were seeing, but the agency might be ok. I would not recommend using their services for mental health issues. My son was in crisis and they had to EMAIL his provider who never even bothered to get back to us. Thank goodness for other services.
Extremely unprofessional MHA environment for mental health services. I wouldn't recommend using their services for mental health issues. My daughter was in crisis and they e-mail the psychiatry on Friday who never even bothered to get back to me it's Tuesday and I still haven't received a call back. I been try calling everyday the voice mail is always full and no answer.
As a orphan adult who came late after DCF since they didn't know I would've left earlier due to their own rigging circumstances, MHA is okay but sometimes when I move around from house to house at foster homes to guardians due to them working their own thing had got me in a pickle. If only we would rate our foster guardians of MHA would make an app similar to a dating app but a choice app so we could know their personalities of what they do to us clients. I've been through two of them. They were half bad to me. But To be honest, I wish I could be assertive like I mean it when I should use my independence to be the best client I came to say what I mean and what I choose. But to the real honesty I would rate MHA a four to their business.. But as a client to housings without a guardian paper profile is a three even if I made my choices that are not part of their ideas or mistakes I blame myself for.
I have never written a review before but I will say In my 40 years of being a landlord they are by far the Worst organization I have ever worked with. They dump the person on you and there is no support, when trouble hits the have excuses or they have a team of lawyers fighting you. They don’t even attempt to pay for damages to your building that their tenant caused. I would stay completely away from this organization.
The guys from the grit program seem to be unsafe to there self and to others but for some reason I keep seeing these guys with there bags and no where to go because they been discharged actually one just tried to get into my home where me and my family live and other women with children then tried to get into the cars in the parking lot and I went to the window and told him I would call help for him I called the police because he told me people where after him that he was in danger and he just left the grit program this was 10:41 tonight and btw the police could care less he sat there for 2hrs does nobody care about people with mental illness you should not just throw these people on street who are one clueless, two scared, three mentally unstable…. Seriously this is really scary. I seen one at my job place who was lost and confuse one at the park who was also lost and scared in the last week
My personal experience with this group has been great. They truly care about their patients and want to help as much as they can. Staff and management have been super helpful. I was able to get the excellent mental health counseling that I needed. I highly recommend coming here!
Hard working, committed staff! Very deserving of achieving Best Place to Work and Best Nonprofit four years in a row. Respect, integrity and compassion are visible traits shared by all. So proud of all the life changing differences made here!
I went to the Mental Health Association for assistance in my housing search. I spoke to Dave Havens the homeless director for housing for them. He helped me out tremendously. He knew me from the age of 17. He wrote a character reference for me a few months ago. And today I go see my apartment.Thank you Dave. Respectfully yours, Isaac Cruz
HORRIBLE! They cancelled a Psychiatry appointment without telling me! It was my first appointment, I had it scheduled in February for beggining of May because it was there only appointment, then the week of it they cancelled it and said they triple booked patients. Now they rescheduled me for August. HORRIBLE PLACE TO GO FOR MENTAL HEALTH HELP!
This place could really help people but management stinks I was treated unfair and I was fired and call a whistleblower for exposing the mistreatment of the clients I feel if that you don’t like your job Quit don’t treat people the way you don’t want to be treated. Point blank Second of all I was more qualified then my supervisor however they would not promote me or give me a new position with my skills and qualifications along with my education and nobody I worked with including my supervisor had a degree but me I have a Masters
