Its sad to see how little the owners care about Merced's local mall. It has been under construction for nearly 2 to 3 years with no work being done. We walk through a humid, uncrowded, low energy mall with despair. I do not like to go there. If not for the pretzels i would not waste my time.
Enjoyed our lunch at the Olive Garden. Drove up from Fresno to meet our daughter who lives there. Nice parking lot for all the restaurants and shopping mall.
Safe, sad, sad. And one of the only 3 places to eat, Wetzel Pretzel employees are extremely rude and cheap. From the looks of it, they're saving it for themselves? This Mall is depressing and has been for the last 4 years!! Get it together and stop profiting without profit??
Stores are slowly leaving in anticipation of the rebuild of the mall. I was at the mall to return something to Amazon,l at Kohl's, who has the return center there. Looking around the mall area I hope they get it started soon with the project. Not many places left to shop. We've been hearing about this for so long and it doesn't look like much is going on, yet.
Small selection of stores, many have left and never returned. Still under renovation and no access to Kohls from within the main mall due to the east side being closed off. Come here once in a while, but I would love to see that movie theater they promised.
It has been under construction for a couple years now. So it just makes you wonder if anything is ever going to really get done with it. They have a small section of the mall open. But the rest of it is closed off to the public you can't access it. Once they finish it and have all the stores open in the rest of the mall ready for the public. I think it'll be a really good spot. But for now it just looks really bad like a deserted zombie apocalypse area. Not very inviting but if one of the stores you need to go to is in there. Then you kind of just have to go. Luvkily there aren't a lot of shops open so you'll be able to find easily.
As mentioned by many, this mall is a huge eye sore. Both the inside and outside are out dated. There has been “renovations” maybe 1-2 years now, and the construction seems to have been left as is, undone. There are a lot of vacant spots within the mall. There is not much please in visiting it. It’s sad, as the mall doesn’t help at all in attracting people. Hopefully the mall will get renovated, but seems like that’ll happen in a long time from now…
Not as empty as I have been told. And there was a few more people then I was told would be in there. Was very nice for old mall.
Went to eat at savor oaxaca. First time trying locust and honestly if u just try them they r good. They have their own unique flavor. And the main dish was a tlayuda not sure if that's how u spell it.
Unfortunately, the mall is tiny. Doesn't offer much besides an arcade and hot topic. If you're traveling through the area, don't bother stopping. You'll be in there for 10 minutes and walk right back out. It's soon to be a closed mall within the next 5 years, more than likely and it's being generous that I give them five.
