Mercer Island Visual Arts League's mission is to promote and encourage artistic endeavors on Mercer Island and beyond, to stimulate awareness and appreciation of the visual arts in our community and to sponsor art exhibits and workshops for all.
Watercolor, Photography, Acrylics, Encaustics, Collage, Paper Cut, Sculpture, Glass, Artwork cards, Scarfs, Fibre Arts, Jewelry, Upcycled arts, Steel. Every month artists explore and exhibit new items at the Gallery.
"MIVAL Gallery is an artist run art gallery featuring the work of members of the Mercer Island Visual Arts League. MIVAL is a non-profit arts organization founded in 1961 by members of the community. We support artists with exhibits, workshops, junior art shows K-12, and offer high school scholarship awards.The gallery exhibits and sells paintings, sculpture, photography, fiber art, glass art, jewelry as well as notecards and calendars. Exhibits at the gallery change every one or two months. April, is our annual Treasures in Miniature Show which is an 'open call' for anyone to enter and December is our annual Holiday Show.We welcome new members. Stop in for an art break to meet the artists and see what's on view."
