Merci Montecito

Maybe my bad luck. My pastry was so pretty in the shelf but the taste didn't match. The oranges on top were gristly and the entire piece lacked flavor. I could only eat half of it. I had a cold brew with a splash of oat milk which was okay, not great but certainly drinkable. May try them again. Order something else and see if I have better results. Service was fast and good.

This place is delicious! I got the chicken paillard with green olivey sauce and lemon plus the chicory salad, potato salad, and rice. All of the items I ordered were gluten-free which was amazing! They don't label gluten-free on their online ordering site wish they did!, but the in-restaurant menu is clearly labeled. Everything was super tasty - great flavors and textures. The restaurant itself is adorable with lots of delicate pinks, brass, light wood, and marble. We sat outside on their patio and took in the sunshine. It's a great location in the Montecito Country Mart. The staff was lovely and welcoming too. I really hope they write a cookbook - I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Wow. Merci truly made our trip from LA .. so much so that we ate here for lunch twice in three days! Everything was beyond ... from the perfectly curated menu and delicious food to the staff and reasonably priced wine, we will be back every time we visit. Unique, charming, and tasty .. thanks for being a gem Merci!

This is best pastry I’ve had in my entire life. I was hesitant to enter as it was just me and my infant out on a early run to vons. I was tempted by a citrus pastry and oh my what an experience. It was worth the shame of entering in my pajamas 10/10 go ahead and save this.

Amazing, creative, French inspired food at this little gem in Montecito Country Mart. Took me way too long to try this place, and I was blown away by everything we ordered. My favorite thing was a simple white bean salad with preserved lemon and basil, so perfectly seasoned and unique. We had a hard time choosing from the pastries and desserts, because everything looked right out of a food magazine— turns out, that’s exactly what the chef and owner used to do, for Martha Stewart Living. We landed on the chocolate chip cookie and a tart with candied cara cara oranges, both spectacular. Food this good is surprisingly rare in SB, will be retuning regularly.

It’s hard to give a 5 as my visit was during COVID restrictions and we could not get the full experience. The little we had was good. Initially I thought the service was average but after talking to the staff they warmed up. Lots of choices around.

Merci Montecito and Elizabeth are an utter delight. The space is so beautifully designed and furnished... textures and tones chosen thoughtfully... every piece of cutlery and stoneware is exquisite... the entire shop is impeccably put together yet filled with warmth. The food is just as beautiful - an absolute culinary experience and a true gem in Santa Barbara...

I had the most delicious Spicy chai latte I think I’ve ever had and I love spicy chai lattes. The first sip hit my lips and I was incredibly pleasantly surprised. It was rich, creamy, with that fun kick at the end. Totally worth a try. They restaurant is adorable as well. Posh and welcoming at the same time. They even have outdoor seating too.

Coffee was fine. But the weird old employee walked around and collected our chairs before we even started drinking our coffee. That was very rude.Service: 1/5
