Had to take my 6 year old son for a blood draw today after a failed attempt last night because he was too afraid. I just want to say the staff there were so amazing. The woman who checked us in was so kind and reassuring to him. The group of women working in the blood draw grouped together to get this done and did absolutely everything to help my son feel secure and to safety get the blood drawn. He had a hard time but it could have been much much worse if they hadn’t been so incredible in managing the situation. Kind and compassionate staff truly make all the difference and that’s what we got there.
MISERABLE nurses, but they are at mercy hospital too so that didn’t surprise me. The doctor was great though as well as the radiology workers/nurses. They treated my 2 year old so well. Thank you for that. It’s never an ideal situation to have to rush any child to any hospital type setting for any emergency, so kindness should be a given when parents are under stressful circumstances like so, nurses forget that we don’t ASK to need a doctor when our children are hurt we HAVE too. Be a little more sympathetic!! The lady at the front desk even went out of her way to buy my son animal crackers with her own money and asked if he could have them after she bought them, the selflessness and compassion she must have felt seeing a little boy needed medical help for an injury. Thank you for that
In the past month, I've brought two of my children into the MAC Center in the middle of the night on two separate occasions. My daughter woke up with a bad barking cough, having trouble breathing and we rushed her to Oeshei. It was a scene out of a nightmare... the entire ER packed with kids of all ages sick as could be and we were hearing people had been waiting there over 8+ hours without being seen. We considered just waiting until morning to go to Pediatric Urgent Care but on the way home, I thought to stop at the MAC Center. The front desk, nurses and doctors were incredible to my daughter. They got us right in and discovered she had croup and needed steroids right away. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The second time I came in with my son who had a similar issue, they were so sweet with him and luckily discovered he had the flu and were able to get him meds immediately. Thanks to their care, my son was able to quickly recover. I would highly recommend this center for any emergency needs with both kids and adults alike!
A ½ hour drive to pick up my girlfriend and daughter. Then another ½ hour from their place to MAC. Only to be told that they didnt do the procedure after 7pm. Mind you we called ahead the day before to double check that they did indeed offer the procedure at that time. We were told yes they would. So 3 hours of my day, 60 miles and $15.00 worth of gas that ill never get back. Please, get your act together. Thanks for nothing...m
Emergency Dept: In violation of multiple Covid procedures. Staff do not wear masks / wear them very improperly, only some of the time. One polite desk worker. Rest of staff very rude, classist, possibly racist. Refused to listen to patient & relative emergency contact; treated them like liars. Refused to make phone calls as directed by Department of Health; refused to speak to anyone on phone when phone calls were made for them. Extremely sanctimonious attitudes. Treating patients & loved ones / representatives as if they don't even exist. Acting as if they know better than entire agencies, patients, etc.. One staffmember extremely rude, hostile, volatile -- with the gall to project their own bad be haviour upon the target of their own vitriol. Previous Outpatient testing: Required to check in multiple times, despite online check-in. Check-ins conflicting with each other, causing more check-ins, more conflict. Had to have the check-in issue resolved specially. Masks not consistently worn. Edit: Do NOT reply with the standard automated / copy paste.
Went there recently and actually had an emergency situation again tonight and refused to come back. Went somewhere else and got amazing care. The staff here is disgraceful and that's including the Dr's. How this place is still up and running is beyond me. Over the years, I think it's safe to say....the ship sank.
I went for unbearable pain in my stomach and my back. They took such good care of me. I went in the back fairly quick. My total stay was 2 hrs 44 mins which is better than Buffalo General or ECMC ERs
My family and I have been treated here on multiple occasions and feel we get top notch care. Everyone that has had issues with the amount of the their bill need to remember that those come from your insurance company and not the ER unless you’re private pay in which case I know first had the billing department will work with you for payment plans.
I have been sick with what i now know is the flu for a week. I came in today at my wits end. The staff was exceptional and timely. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Terrible service. Worst medical related service, for something minor that I've ever received. Waited for many hours without being checked on or monitored. If you need medical attention, you would be much better off going to a hospital, even if it is something minor
