This is based on my one and only experience at this facility. The staff, nurses, and doctors in the ER and ICU have been outstanding in caring for my brother during his severe medical situation. They were as caring, kind, informative, professional as I have ever seen. Not only did they focus on his emergency needs, but made sure we, his family and friends had anything we needed. Form coffee and water, a room to sit, wait, and and be away from the daily chaos a hospital can provide, to giving constant updates, information and answering any and all of our concerns and questions. Couldn't begin to thank them enough for what they have done. I found facility itself to be very clean, although the floor plan is a bit confusing when trying to navigate the different floors.
Terrible experience with my Mom who has dementia, and a small bowel obstruction. The Dr kept saying 'I feel I'm being attacked' after his nurse thought my Mom was being discharged, and he didn't come to see us for 1.5 hours. Well never come back here. 5 hours so far in the ER.
Quite literally the worst hospital I’ve been to, with the worst healthcare I’ve ever received. When calling for my nurse with the call button I was hung up on twice and it took an hour AFTER to see anyone. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome in my own room, and my doctor/nurses were dismissive of any pain or discomfort I was experiencing. They asked insensitive and intrusive questions about my gender, when I was simply there for severe heart pain. Not to mention I’m currently waiting for discharge and what they claimed to take 15 minutes has turned into an hour and a half of waiting around, hungry and dehydrated. PLEASE: GO TO UW MADISON OR ANY OTHER HEALTHCARE FACILITY IF YOU CAN, THIS PLACE IS HORRIFICALLY BAD. Have a good day/night
My experience on the medical floor was 5 stars and I recieved excellent care during my stay. The nurses and CNAs were caring and attentive. My call light was answered quickly. The hospitalist were compassionate and explained things well. The general surgery team were also thorough and explained everything! The EVS staff and food service staff were also friendly. My room was clean! Overall I couldn't ask for a better experience in a bad situation.
Every one of you that work here should be ashamed to work for such a neglectful company. They love to gaslight you and send you home. I called about chest pain, and said I was coming in. They said, oh, call mercy north. Excuse me?! And they dismissed my daughters issues several times.
Beloit and Janesville clinics are one of the worse hospitals and clinics! Nurses and doctors alike don’t truly know what they’re doing and get paid for what? I’m hoping the robots come quick! It’s time for the internet of bodies to take over and MAYBE us humans can start having better health outcomes..
I was brought to Mercy Janesville after a serious car accident. My injuries were severe enough to warrant a 5 day stay on the surgical floor. I was very pleased with my level of care. My nurses were attentive, compassionate, and just good company. The doctors were busy, but I felt they took the time to answer the questions I had before moving along during rounds. My only complaint was that food service ended pretty early for my 8pm dinner habits. I got smart tho and ordered stuff I could keep on the tray to snack on. I am sure my bill will be outrageous, but that is the state of healthcare at any hospital in America. This is why we pay for good health insurance.
Today I am reminded why I switched my insurance from Mercy to Quartz. The service here is lousy. I spent two separate periods of time sitting in the room in ER alone for over an hour with no one checking in to see how I was doing. I understand we are coming out from under a pandemic, but gotta be better than this.
This hospital is a good choice in the area. Parking is a bit funky as they are working on the garage along with the general layout of the buildings can get confusing. The ER was wonderful when a family member was admitted to the hospital. The nurses at this hospital are amazing, some seriously good people.
I called at about 7pm. Asked to speak to someone in lab or ER. Operator asked why. I informed her that I believed I had a recurrent bladder infection and needed to speak with the lab for my results from last week, or with the MD in the ER. Also informed her that I am an RN. She said I would have to call my primary care physician or medical records in the morning to obtain any information. I asked if I could speak to an MD or RN in the ER, and she interrupted and said they would not give me any information. I tried to further explain, and she hung up on me in the middle of a sentence. Unbelievably poor service. Did not even suggest that I should be seen in the ER.
