We had an overall great experience. The delivery nurse, Lauren, is exceptional! She was very personable, friendly, kind, and caring. She was knowledgeable as well. These qualities are a rare find now. The doctors, nurses, and staff were attentive to every need. My criticisms are the following: the hospital could use updating. It was looking a little run down. The carpet was stained. There weren't any toiletries for the bathroom. We bought our own. The first meal we had after delivery was a plain turkey sandwich. No cheese, condiments, lettuce, tomato, etc. Nothing, just one slice of meat on bread. I realize some people have dietary restrictions, but if it weren't so sad, this is almost laughable! Nobody would want to eat this, not even the employees. The other hospital in town gives you a steak dinner!
I had a *much* better experience here this time! The staff has done a great job educating themselves on how to treat disabled patients in a kind and respectful manner. From a zero to four stars.
The staff was wonderful answering my questions, introducing themselves to me also put my mind at ease. The pre-op and post-op care was so caring. I received two follow up calls to check in on me. The best care I have ever received.
Excellent care and treatment. River Valley Mercy orthopedic hospital is the best care I have ever received in any hospital. This includes the physical therapy department, the nurses, my doctor, and all of the staff at the orthopedic hospital. I felt cared for physically and emotionally with genuine concern and guidance. Having a hospital dedicated strictly to Orthopedic treatment, has made the world of difference in care and treatment of patients. I recommend River Valley MERCY Orthopedics Hospital, and physical therapy department.
Found all staff to be professional, pleasant, caring and quick on their feet. ER took me on quick - didn't get there a moment too soon with chest pains and breathing difficulty. Wound up with a longer stay than anticipated. Every moment spent here, I knew I was in good hands.
My visit and surgery with Dr. Bolyard was nothing less than exceptional...start to finish. I had a great professional surgical team and anesthetist Amber who made my procedure a pleasurable experience. I would recommend them anytime!
Went in to get my medical records. The young man at the information counter showed us directions on a map, took us right to release records. The young lady that assisted me getting my records was very prompt and nice. We were in and out in 15 minutes. THANK YOU to the kind employees of Mercy Hospital
The care seems to be on the up and up but the staff doesn't seem to listen to you if what you're saying goes against what they already have written down. I told them three separate times that they had a number listed for me that I have never had and had them, supposedly, correct the information only for another staff member on another day afterwards try to list the same number I already told them wasn't my number and never has been one of my numbers. I guess after three attempts they still never got it right because nobody ever followed up with me, but I was however getting spam calls from their system wanting me to rate the care I received. So the immediate staff never would correct my number for actual care but someone did make sure to have my correct number for their spam calls. Two stars is the most I could rate this place.
Mercy Ortho earns 4stars. One of the best nurses iv had for pre-op, the anesthesia guy from Louisiana was awesome, Dr. Smith was excellent and the nurse in post op was quick and that went as smooth as it could have. I could only complain about the compact car catered parking lot!
This hospital is not what it use to be, I'd stay home and die before I'd be admitted here. It is always so dirty, soiled gowns and bedding left in my cousins ICU room for two days, bathroom outside of ICU, trash over flowing, hair and trash all over floor, no toilet paper or paper towels. If your not sick before visiting, you'll leave sick. It's disgusting!! And you employ some of the rudest employees
